I installed this on a 95 Mazda Miata which is an earlier year than what this is intended for. With very little modification It works perfectly. Not sure if I really feel any HP difference but the engine breathes better and has a nice low end growl when you get on the throttle. The finish is really nice and looks great under the hood.

My car - a 2002 Miata LS. Easy installation - it will probably take about an hour unless you are anal (like me) about installation details. The new vs. the old location of the air temperature sensor resulted in excess wire for the sensor plus some clips that are no longer needed to attach the wire. I probably spent more time deciding what to do about that situation and then do it, than it took me to install everything else. K&N provides data supporting a 3.6 hp gain at around 6600 rpm. I can't say that it actually does much at normal driving rpm's but the added roar from the un-baffled intake when accelerating sure makes it feel like it does. And, the polished finish of the K&N intake really improves the look of things under the hood. I'm happy with the results.

The Air intake was a relatively inexpense way to add power to a car without radically altering its engine (ie: supercharger/turbo charger). Love it! My car got a noticable boost of HP, and still gets 32 MPG on regular fuel. Can't beat that these days!
