The KYB Gas-a-Just monotube shock absorber has additional performance advantages over the twin-tube design: It can instantly, automatically adjust to more handling and control needs and never experiences performance fade due to aeration. The Gas-a-Just is available as an OE Monotube replacement and as an OE Twin-tube performance upgrade. The KYB Gas-a-Just has two separate working chambers: An air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control and a second high-pressure Nitrogen gas area with a floating piston that provides a comfortable ride during normal driving and adds instant performance on demand. Great Shocks - Good Pricing

These shocks provide and excellent ride and KYB offers superb customer service/tech support over the phone. I would not rely on the online fitment guides but instead call tech support with your application information and desired goals, i.e. what kind of ride you are looking for, whether you are looking for sporty, off road, or luxury ride.Amazon offered the best pricing and great delivery 5 of 5 stars without reservation.

KYB's are a great shock!

Been using them for years and they have never let me down. You can pay a lot more if you need a heavier duty shock (like for off roading) but for normal use you cannot go wrong.

KYB 741067 AGX Manually Adjustable Shock Absorber

Shoved these on my 2001 Ford Fucus SE (Sedan) and set same to number 1 (Low end) However, I did slap the Air Lift 60723 1000 Series Rear Air Spring Kit on inconjuction with same. After 24K miles, I've made no adjustments other than to ensure my air bags contain 7 psi. Never had to readjust my setting of 1 on the shock absorber. Yes- these are well worth the money for rear shocks and should last the life of your vehicle if driven lawfully.

African Road Test

I live in Zambia Africa. The shocks I bought were for a late 90s Toyota 4Runner. The kind of driving I do tends to be a lot of very bad dirt roads and occasional long distance blacktop driving. The blacktop driving includes swerving to miss and occasionally hitting, large potholes. The shocks I replaced were original equipment and the vehicle has nearly 100,000 miles on it. I travel with the vehicle either empty, or loaded with up to 10 people. My use of these shocks far exceeds anything that folks in the States will experience and I needed the best I could get. After looking at Bilstein, Rancho and the raft of US branded shocks, I went with the KYBs. The Heavy Duty designation is what attracted me initially and past experience with the brand, coupled with the online reviews I read convinced me. The ride is firm and not unlike what you might expect in a sports car. If you're a soccer mom or someone with an excessively delicate derriere, these may not be for you. On the other hand, I just drove 500 miles from Mansa to Lusaka and fund the trip to be very comfortable. The handling has improved dramatically and the performance of the truck on uneven pavement and dirt roads is far, far better than it was. There is probably not an ideal shock absorber for what I do, but if there were/is, it would look a lot like these KYBs.

Great Shocks

I installed these shocks on my 2001 dodge ram 4wd and I think the ride is better than new. I have a heavy snow plow and they control the bounce and rebound beautifully. I am surprised that a shock absorber at this low price is that good.

KYB Monomax Shocks

I purchased these shocks to replace my stock shocks in my GMC Sierra. Shocks are very well made, and much stiffer than the stock shocks. Over the lousy roads in Utah the ride is a little hard but much MUCH better controlled especially in corners. As long as you don't mind a choppier ride, the increase in cornering stability is great. I tow trailers frequently and the setup was perfect for that. If you drive aggressively or tow trailers a lot I would highly recommend the shocks

Excellent Value

I bought these to replace OEM shocks in a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser with 90,000 miles. What a difference! Now obviously there will be a difference from the worn out shocks but thee feel great. Handling is much improved and ride is firm, fluid and not harsh. We have a 2003 Lexus 470 in the family and the ride in this vehicle is still better!

KYB - Land Cruiser

I bought these to replace the OEM shocks on my 2001 Land Cruiser. These restored the trucks ride quality to better than original. Seriously considered the Bilsteins, but in the end decided that while I would like to think that this truck is going to spend more than half its life on the trails and it needs a stiffer ride, the reality is that it's going to spend 5 - 10% of its life on the trails and I in fact do not need a stiffer ride. These KYB's are awesome and the truck rides incredibly well with them.
