5Great, great pedals!

I've had these for 4 years, no maintenance and no problems whatsoever! I ride 4-6 times a week in Colorado, where the trails are very dusty, have beaten them to death on various rocks (that's why they call them the Rockies ;-) and they keep on going strong. Clipping/unclipping is always smooth, and they provide a large enough platform to stay unclipped on the pedal when the going gets sketchy. Well done Time!

4Works So Far

I bought this exhaust manifold for my 1970 plymouth slant 6 about a year ago. I have been replacing the factory ones way to many times so I decided to try this one. So far no problems. The factory ones always crack and make noise but this one has worked for about a year now and no cracking or noise. The only thing that is different from the factory is the automatic choke. The factory one does not work on this manifold. Go to carbsonly.com and have them sell yoou the correct electric choke.

5Better than goose grease!

I was first introduced to Tri-Flow by a compound bow manufacturer in Albuquerque. He explained to me that it lubricated two ways, with the light penetrating oil and with tiny flakes of Teflon (i.e. You cannot see them it just looks milky.). The oil also acts as a transport mechanism for the Teflon. After lubricating something - you wipe off the excess oil and the Teflon stays inside. It works great on firearms, locks, fishing reels, cameras, firearms, and car door hinges, too. For example: I drive daily on long and very dusty roads. I used to have to oil my hinges monthly with WD40. I now use Tri-Flow about twice a year. I own a 1983 Ford ¾ ton pickup truck. It came equipped with a variable venturi carburetor, a California configuration. I went to the Ford dealership for a tune up. The technician first question to me was how much trouble the choke had been giving me. He explained to me that this type of carb was apparently designed by an engineer who had never lived in a sandy environment! Just ONE grain of sand would keep the choke open. The Ford mechanic, who had been to specialty classes on this carb, could hardly believe I was having no problem with mine. It had been nothing but trouble for his dealership in dusty southern New Mexico. I told him that when I bought the truck it worked fine until winter, when it needed to be choked to start. When I found the choke was sticking, I cleaned off the varnish accumulation on the top of the carb and sprayed it with WD40. This worked until the WD40 cooked off from engine heat, then I had trouble starting again. The next time I sprayed it with Tri-Flow (Ta Da!) Problem solved! The oil was gone and the Teflon remained. It allowed the variable venturi to "float". I had to use Tri-Flow at the beginning of every winter after that. He was unfamiliar with the product which had only been out a few years. So, I brought him a small can to use. The mechanic discounted the work he was doing on my truck as a thank you! I feel sure he more than made up for it!

5Great results

I installed Baldwin Locks in store-front aluminum doors. After about 15 years of use in a dry climate (SCal), the locks and deadbolts began to stick or become impossible to turn.My wife, thinking that I would have to take them to a locksmith for repair, pulled one apart. She put it back together without solving the problem. I took the lock to a local locksmith. He said he could save me a lot of money. He took a can of Tri-Flow Superior Lubricant and sprayed the lock's mechanism without disassembling anything. After a few moments of rapidly turning the latches and loosening them up, they worked like a gem. I don't know or care how it works, but it sure does.In 30-some years of marriage, this may be the only thing I've gotten right.

5Best product in the market

I have used this on my road bikes, door hinges, pad locks, gliding rocking chairs, garage doors, fishing reels, door knobs, and many other household areas and it's the best product I've ever used. W.D. 40 is good for cleaning and rust purposes but Tri-Flow lubricates the heck out of stuff. You'll be satisfied, trust me, you can't go wrong. Best of luck.

5Easy install on a 2000 Honda Civic VP

I spent a good month fretting over installing my Dorman Exhaust Manifold. I learned in 2008 after a repair job from Honda that I had a cracked manifold. They quoted about 900+ dollars to fix. I refused and went on my way. Well fast forward to summer 2009 and I noticed the "hissing" sound under the hood was becoming very annoying. Took off the heat shield to look and sure enough, a good 2 inch crack down the manifold. Determined to save money, I read that Dorman produces great replacement parts.So I ordered one. Upon receiving the part, I noticed it had everything I needed and some extras that I wasn't certain I would use. So it sat, and sat, and sat....Determined that after a good month, it was time to install it, especially after the first couple cool days. I could smell exhaust in the cabin.This morning I went out, purchased some PB Blaster spray (similar to Liquid Wrench) and sprayed down the rusty nuts and bolts.Everything came off with minimal effort. The most difficult part of the removal was the oxygen sensor plastic plug connectors. I spent 30 minutes trying to get those apart.On reinstall, have some good ratchet extensions, wrenches, and a torque wrench (maybe even one of those fancy sockets that are slotted for oxygen sensor removal).Took me a couple hours to reinstall. Start at the bottom and leave everything "loose" and work your way up to the manifold. Once everything is aligned and in place, start to tighten to manufacturer torque specs. Everything fit great.Thumbs up to this product. I'm no mechanic, but I know enough about cars to know my limitations. This is definitely a part I was able to handle relatively well!

5Perfect

I brought my 99 civic in to Honda for an Oil Change and was told my manifold and cat had to be replaced at the cost of 1,300 for a crack in the manifold. I did take the heatshield offf and saw a huge crack by the oxygen sensor. Apparantly this is a common thing with the civic after many years. I bought this Dorman replacement and was wondering if I could do this myself. I really do not have much experience in auto mechanics other than minor tune up and brakes. I decided to take on the challenge (well if that is what you want to call it) I had the old one out and the new one in in about 40 minutes. Works like a charm, no difference in sound or anything and now no smell of exhaust in my car from the crack. I can't believe how much money I saved. Well worth it and I am glad I got it. I did have a rattle sound after driving the car and turns out it was the heat shield on the front pipe which I fixed. Before I knew that I called Dorman and spoke to the tech and he was great. I am very pleased. Just use a lot of blaster spray for the rusted bolts and you will be fine.

4Confusing Instructions But Good Fit

This is my second Dorman manifold. I put the first one in a 1997 Honda Civic LX and the Second in a 1999 Honda Civic LX. The instructions are very general and are made for all of the different combinations of exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters. They say there are serrated flange nuts to attach the two parts but all I found in the box were normal grade 5 nuts. I purchased a few flange nuts and everything went together easily. There are also nuts and bolts included to attach a heat shield. On this catalytic converter the heat shield was pre-attachedInstallation was pretty easy. The lower oxygen sensor was completely seized on both cars and had to be replaced. If you live in the rust belt expect to replace it. The Dorman is a little slimmer than the OEM version so it slides into place easily. Use a torque wrench so you don't crack the manifold. The car is much quieter now. The first installation took about 4 hours and two trips to the auto store and the second was only 2 hours with no trips. Overall, a good product and much less expensive than anything else around.
