A Beautiful and Complex Scent

Samsara has been my favorite scent since I first found it at age 19 back in 1990. I occasionally wear other scents, but this remains my undying favorite. I always receive compliments when I wear it and I've never tired of it. It is deep and complex scent with a beautiful mystical feeling which always makes me feel sexy and feminine. I recommend the Eau De Parfum simply because it easily lasts all day.

One of my favorites

I had forgotten about this perfume! I used to wear it about 10 years ago and had completely forgotten how much I loved it and when I saw it on Amazon, I knew I had to order it. I admit, I checked the websites of my local department stores and was amazed at how much more they wanted, so I came back and ordered it. Now when I wear it, I'm reminded of things I did in my "younger" years!

Samsara is the most pleasant fragrance I've ever had the pleasure to wear. It smells even better, the longer you have it on. Highly recommend it. A bit pricy but worth every penny. Not your run of the mill scent. It's wonderful.

My first fragrance from a girl to a woman.

Mitsouko was the first fragrance I wore as I saw myself as a woman, instead of a girl. I had borrowed my friend's bottle frequently, so she wound up giving it to me and buying herself another bottle for herself. They don't made bottles like that one often in current times. It was round and sort of flat. There was no cap; instead it was sealed by a glass stopper that was round and triangular. Almost as hard to describe as the fragrance. I think they would call it a green scent now. It was not sugar and spice and all things nice. Instead, it was sensual, with an earthy, Asian scent. No other fragrance replicated it. I used it sparingly so that when I walked by, the fragrance would waft behind me. Using more would have taken too much of a good thing. It is still a fragrance that is not common. Ever afraid that I would run out of it or have only scent that had passed its best time to use it...if I saw it for sale, I would buy a bottle (unless I had just purchased some). A bittersweet thing:my mom was killed when my brother was still a teenager.Years before he had mentioned how the cologned always made him think of me. As I got off the airplane, I made sure that I had a fresh spray on so he would feel comforted. Scent has many powers.

This scent smells like nothing I've ever worn and I have over 200 bottles of perfume. The first night I got it I just sat on the side of the bed and smelled my arm. Its heavenly and divine. I'm sorry I didn't buy it sooner.

I just love this perfume- getting in such a timely matter and with such high and excellent customer service made all the difference to me! Everywhere I go- People ask me, what perfume I am wearing and where I got it from. Usually I would have to go home to Germany to get it for an affordable price...well no more- I'll get it right here whenever I need it. Just wonderful!

quality perfume!

I love perfume in general and this might be one of my favorites. I can't get enough of the sexy scent -- floral but sophisticated. This is also a great eau de parfum...it literally lasts for hours. The scent even survived a recent trip to the beach! I've also noticed that it smells differently on everyone, which is apparantly what quality perfume is supposed to do. In short, I definately recommend!

Warm and sparkling.

L'Instant by Guerlain comes in a beautiful bottle, my best looking one on my perfume dresser, and from the first spritz of this simple breath of Citrus Honey, Magnolia Inclusion and Amber Harmony you are in love with this scent.I get many compliments with friends and boyfriend on this one as I walk in, but it's not overly sweet, it's luminously bright, sparkly honey and pure flower petals on a cloud. It's simply beautiful and unforgettable.

The perfume is very very light in color and the scent is VERY light from what I have purchased in the past. This is my favorite and I have purchased many so I do know something about color and smell. It still smells ok but very faint and it doesnt last. I will not purchase from this company again.

The perfume sold by this vendor at a reduced price is a fake!The smell is different from the original. The color is also different.This fake perfume should not be allowed to be sold to buyers who think they are getting a break in price on the real thing.Buyers beware.

Very soft & light wearing - I still like it !

They say you love either Guerlain Mitsouko or Guerlain LHB. Well, I'm proof of that. And for me, it's LHB.LHB is a powdery oriental on me. I understand the references to 'old ladies' but only at the top, and even then it's almost too fleeting to mention. The aldehydes are done properly - they are soft, not screechy or metallic. Let this one develop on your skin - it's so worth it. However, for lasting power, it's best on clothing, at least in its current formulation.I have a new bottle, and it's extremely soft and wears close to the skin. I keep checking the label, thinking it might be the EdT. No, it's the EdP. I can't imagine over-spraying this one.

A personal choice

A review of a scent is difficult to write, because the choice is so personal. With that in mind, though, L'heure Bleue has much to recommend it. It's suitable for both day and night, with both a spicy and a sweet floral aspect. It is quite distinctive, not something one would confuse with anything else. It is long-lasting, but not overwhelming. I do not tire of it, and I like the combination of sophistication and old-fashioned sweetness.

Men, do not fear the Jicky

Guys,Jicky wasn't originally sold as a women's fragrance.That's right - it's a unisex. And frankly, it's great as a fresh alternative to the bland acquatic-citrus-woody sports fragrances we're sold by the ton. Lavender, vanilla, a touch of citrus and spice and musk/civet, smell great on both men and women, in slightly different ways.So hey, manly men, pay no attention to the marketing. Give Jicky a try, and your lady may well want to share. Or, sneak a little of hers for a day in the office.

a soft, quiet scent

When I first used this fragrance I could find it only at Neiman Marcus. That was 20 years ago and Jicky is harder and harder to find. It is not commonly used but I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a soft scent that doesn't overpower. Newer colognes announce themselves; one must be close to delight in Jicky. My best description is that it is a powder-like lavender scent with deep undertones.

delightful scent for summer

I love this scent. It is fresh and lively and just enough that people will comment on the light freshness - redundant, but true. As the day goes, the first essence dissipates, but it doesn't stale. I am sad that Guerlain is not going to make it any more.
