Its been about two years since I bought this and the price for them, was about $75 each. My dad and his buddy who is a mechanic laughed at me when I went to his shop to put these on. I told him I would be done in about an hour or so and I was right. All you have to do is remove the tire so it is out of the way then pop the hood and remove the four nuts that connect to the strut. Then go grab a sprig compressor and compress the spring as much as you can so that you can just swing the assembally out of the wheel well and pull the struct assembly out of the little holder. Simple as that, I did this on my 97 740i e38. As for the shocks they work great the ride is just as smooth as I was before and they are holding up well since the roads around where I live are as rough as a wash board ( thanks Cal trans)

Nice ride, nice price

It's great to have a friend who is a auto mechanic. He had a little trouble with the first one due to the shape of the spring on my Sienna. With that we learned from that, the second was only 10 minutes to remove the spring. The combination of free shipping, best price and no tax makes Amazon a deal. The ride, by the way is fantastic. New tires, rotors and pads and my baby is feeling like a new car.

Good struts....good ride....great price.....quick delivery

Struts work well......takes the bumps well. Does not seem to help with cracks in the road....maybe nothing does. Installing is a bit challenging on the 2001 Sienna. The wiper arms and everything connected to it have to be removed. Prepare to remove about 15 screws, before getting to the top of the struts. I used instructions and diagram from AutoZone, and tutoral from Utube. I could not remove the Stabilizing bar support from the struts. Had to purchase a pair for $65. Do get an alignment ($70 at Sears), it helps reduce the shaking I would get @60mph. Balancing could not rid it. As usual with Amazon, delivery was quicker than expected.NOTE: Neither he struts nor shocks has any label to indicate they are Monroe products. Maybe thats how they are. Only the box say Monroe.

Great Product

I bought these shocks for my Honda Civic Hybrid. They are very easy to install and here on Amazon I got them for a great price. I live on 5 miles of dirt road and my wife's car was not made for the dirt. I bought these because I wanted good quality so they would last me. I did a lot of research and found these to be the best economical choice. I have had them on for over 6 months and they have definitely been used on my roads. I only have good things to say about them. But don't forget the bump stops for them. It's a good idea to change them while you have it apart.

2002 Escalade Front Shocks

I purchased these shocks as a direct replacement for my 2002 Escalade. I wanted to retain my electronic ride (Autoride) but avoid paying $600 a piece for OEM front shocks. I'm more than thrilled with the results. These shocks are a direct plug and play replacement. Truck rides like its brand new. Highly Recommended.

Exact fit replacement that was easy to install

I wanted to keep the Autoride system working like new on my 2002 Yukon Denali and didn't want to spend a fortune at the dealer. These Monroe shocks were exact fit replacements for the original Delphi shocks. After researching online I found these on Amazon for about $100 less than anywhere else. They were easy to install and my Denali rides like new again.Don't be surprised if they arrive all black instead of black/orange. The picture isn't accurate (based on what I received).

For Z55 Autoride suspension

I used this shock for a 2003 yukon denali XL. They fit perfect with the Autoride system. Taking the old shocks out was a bit of a hassle as I had to cut off one of the struts because of a seized nut due to rust. Installation was easy. The ride is excellent so far.For the rear of the autoride system, use monroe 40032. I wrote a review on those too.Very important, when you order these, you might want to order the electrical connector that goes on top of these shocks as mine were rusted out. This is the part # 88986417, and it's available on Amazon.I paid under 200 dollars each for these shocks on amazon.5 stars for the price and part as a whole package.And yes they are black, not orange. who cares.Stop your whining.Goodluck.

My 2001 Denali with 254,000 miles now rides like new. I replaced both front and rears, as well as the compresser. All purchased right here at Amaron.com. Dealer wanted $3,000, my total out of pocket including installation, $1200.

Direct replacement for Delco

These shocks are a direct fit replacement for the factory Delco units. They have the air line fittings and the sensor plug exactly like the originals. Takes about 30 minutes to replace both rears. Worked perfect on 2005 Tahoe, no error codes, no problems with sensor connector or air line. They look identical to the Delco's.
