Timken vs Motorcraft

I purchased this for a repair on a 2003 F350 DRW. I had previously purchased a Motorcraft (HUB-11) unit for the other side yet suggested this option to my customer. This unit looks and comes packaged identical to the Motorcraft unit other than the color of the box (Motorcraft box was white and Timken box was orange and black). The unit hub and bearing assembly comes with the attaching studs (NO NUTS !!!) and a yellow o-ring just like the Motorcraft unit. Best feature is the price which is substantially less than the Motorcraft unit (about $205.00 versus $285.00). It is also about $175.00 less than one would pay ($380.00) at the dealership (of which I get a 25% discount on parts).Before installation, REMEMBER to lubricate the Torrington needle bearing upon which the stub shaft will ride. I use a synthetic grease and oil mix and have for years with much success. I also get my customers to have the bearing assembly removed and lubricated every 25,000 miles (or one year). I also generally service my customers locking hub units at the same time (before the start of the snow / Winter season). A little bit of preventive maintenance saves a bunch of money in the long run as these bearing assemblies are $200.00 and the locking hub units are about $250.00 each. For $100.00 per truck, per season, I keep these owners happy and making money removing snow versus being on a lift awaiting repair and loosing money with unhappy customers.NOTE: The dealership will inform people that the bearing is NOT serviceable which in part is correct but the needle bearing in the center IS. The locking hubs aren't serviceable but CAN be disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated.

These bearings have worked well; have had them in for about 2000 miles. Ordered this model for '02 Ford F250 7.3L. Fits and works perfect.

Great replacement part

Perfect replacement for the original equipment. Very good quality part. Only wish they included a small amount of lube for the o-ring seal. I put the car through its paces so I will repost if the bearing wears prematurely.

2002 F150 FX4 TIMKEN 515029 HUB ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

After checking with the local Ford Dealers and finding ridiculous pricing for factory replacements, I picked up two of these Timken 515029 axle bearing and hub assemblies to replace the originals on my 2002 F150. The parts were shipped much faster than I expected and seemed to be of quality construction. Swapping these in took about twenty minutes a side but I prepped the bolts with penetrating oil for a couple of days prior to pulling them.

High quality part with OE sensor

I purchased this bearing to replace another manufacturer's aftermarket bearing that lasted only 1 year on my trailblazer. The Timken bearing has a Siemens ABS sensor, which is the manufacturer of the original sensor on the vehicle. The bearing that lasted a year had a no-name sensor that failed after only 6 months. You can find a cheaper bearing, but it's not worth having to replace again in a year. Buy the better one and save yourself some work.

An unbelievable value. We couldn't be more pleased.

This stool is a superb product. I agree with the earlier review which said that the photo doesn't do it justice. The wood and leather are beautiful.This isn't so much a bar stool as a piece of furniture. It is extremely well made. It feels heavy and substantial, and it's very comfortable.One thing that you can't see in the photo is that the chair back is also made of leather. It looks very much like the front. This was a pleasant surprise.Beware, this stool is fairly wide. The arms are 27" wide at their widest. We were glad that we ordered only three rather than four. If you aren't sure, I recommend buying fewer and ordering one more later if you need it.Before buying these, we went to a local bar stool store. We could not find any stools we liked, and certainly none in the $200-400 range. This particular stool, if it were being sold in that store, would have gone for $600 apiece or more.... EACH.And we looked at hundreds (thousands?) of stools online and couldn't find anything to compare.This stool is simply an incredible bargain. We were able to get all three to our door for under $600 TOTAL. Just amazing. And shipping took only a week or so. My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend this stool.

More than expected!

This order was a very good surprise (and at a fantastic price). The picture doesn't do this product justice. I need three stools, but only ordered one initially to make sure it was what I wanted. I was extremely pleased with what arrived. Assembly was fairly simple. You are provided with an Allen wrench which works for most of the pieces. You will need a Philips screw driver to attach the cushion though.Even before assembly, I could tell that this was a quality piece of furniture. Heavy, well stained and finished pieces of wood and quality leather for the seat and chair back. It should be noted that the leather on the chair back is on both sides of the stool. Also, there is a small brass cover on the foot rest to protect the wood. Nice finishing touches!After assembly (which takes about 30 minutes), I was pleased with the result. It is sturdy and comfortable. I must note that it wobbles a slight bit which tells me that the legs are not uniform in length, but this is a minor concern and is hardly noticeable when you are sitting on the stool.This stool really compliments my home bar and appears to be sturdy enough to handle years of enjoyment. I've gone ahead and ordered the other 2 stools that I needed.One last note. Multiple sellers are listing this bar stool. Check the S+H costs from each seller since they vary widely and you can save some $$ by choosing one with a low shipping cost (even if the stool itself costs more).

Very Pleased

I ordred one of these stools (I need 5) to see if I would like it. It arrived today. We were very pleasantly surprised by how nice this chair is. The picture doesn't do it justice. The wood is a rich color that compliments the leather beautifully. It is a solid piece and comfortable. Assembly was quick and (this may be a first for us) all of the hardware needed was included...no missing pieces.I just ordred four more and wish I had ordered all 5 in the first place. Even though I had to pay for shipping on this item, it was still a better price than anything else I have seen that is comparable. I have been looking for months. I highly recommend this bar stool to anyone considering this purchase.
