4OK
By Chad Jacob
The only thing I could not find in the dimentions was the size of the top plate where the speaker sits, the top plate is 5" x 5" .Just barely worked in size for me. I would have preferred a larger plate on top but O well. Moderate quality, even finish on the set I received, no major complaints.

4Great value for a small speaker
By Sirguygrand
Very well constructed and packaged. Good price-point for a stand for a small, light speaker. Easy to assemble. Attractive. Unstable with a large or heavy speaker. Seems suitable for a small, light speaker.

5Large Poison Ring for Long Thin Fingers
By Another Reviewer
This ring is durable, fashionable, and covers very well for those of us who like large rings yet have long thin fingers. The clasp allows for safe closure of the ring's chamber without worrying it will open, even if like mine it contains no item. Garnet is secure, and I have received many compliments on the ring, even from those who are oblivious to its chamber. Good weight; solid & fashionable design; secure chamber & stone; detailed design; fun ring!

It's durable, smooth and eye-catching with long-lasting shine. The compartment secures liquids and powders with no leakage. Downside? The clasp breaks easily.

5The best of the Jam Packs
By Celeste Thoms
I've bought three of the packs before and I just bought this one. At first I wasn't sure what it could really do for my sound, but it is absolutely amazing. The African choir will shock you, it sounds so good. The new instrument sounds will give your music a broader, more worldly sound. It's worth the buy even if you just want to pay around with it. It's the best one that I've bought yet.

5The best!
By Sam
I wanted this as I am a long time artist and wanted to produce new music with Logic Express. After installation, I listened to many of the instruments and loops. In my opinion, if you are a total professional and are scoring for the major movies that get made and released, you probably want to spend the $1000's of dollars for the totally professional products out there. If you're not that particular person, which how many people like that are out there really, the Apple Jam packs are the best. You get the best value and sounds for the genre that you can get. I can't emphasize enough what it's like to listen to world music sounds from different parts of the world, that you can use in your own music, that are totally excellent and usable. Cuban instruments are an example, as well as the African ones. You can't get more authentic. Consider how much it would cost to bring these musicians or producers together to produce these sounds for you. And they ain't no tweenky sounds tweaked from a synthesizer that sort of reminds you of the real thing, or a midi file joke. It's the real stuff. Thanks again to Steve Jobs and Apple.

5Very Valuable Addition to my JamPacks
By H. Peterson
I own most of the JamPack Series but just got around to getting this one, The World Music JamPack. I highly recommend it.Of course there are a huge variety of interesting instruments. After using them for only a few day, I am partial to the South African Singers/South African Voice Effects. Very effective for background vocal effects. Chinese Erhu Violin (amongst others) create an interesting, haunting texture. The Japanese Shakuhachi Flute (again, amongst others) contain very breathy, realistic qualities.I'm very much enjoying this JamPack.

5I assume it kills moles and gophers
By Garfield
Since moles, voles and field mice stay in their burrows during the day I have to assume that they are dead after I use this product. I see less mounds, tunnels and holes after using this product. The main toxic ingredient causes the blood vessels to leak so the animals die from blood loss in their tunnels. There is no danger of other animals eating the dead animals so it is safe to use even if you have pets like cats and dogs. This product is not appetizing to cats or dogs so even if some of the product is on the ground your pets will not eat it. After a few weeks other moles, voles and field mice come into my garden because they don't have any competition. When I see new holes or tunnels I apply this product again. By buying this product by the case I always have some on hand whenever new varmints come into my garden. My property is 2 1/2 acres in a forested neighborhood so it is a constant battle. This product even kills gophers. You can tell the difference between gopher holes and mole holes very easily. Gopher holes are about ten times larger than mole holes. It takes several application to kill gophers. Put 2 or 3 cap fulls of the product in the hole and cover the hole. If the gopher reopens the hole repeat the application and cover the hole. It takes about a week or two to kill large gophers. Do not use this product on February 2nd or you won't know if Spring will come sooner or later but Spring always comes sooner or later.

5"It's a Good Thing"
By W. C. Hope
Yes,I believe even the renouned TV Home Maker would approve of this saw. I received the saw yesterday afternoon and had it unpacked, assembled, and running in about 3 hours. I spent an hour this morning tweaking the Accu-Fence and the mitre gauge, and have been using the saw today. I was pleased to see that it came with a power cord, and all that was needed was a new plug to match my 230V socket. The casters work great for moving this 600 lbs. plus unit. The total shipping with saw, accessories, and fence totaled over 700 lbs., so this is no light weight machine. The arbor lock is great for changing the blade, and the dust chute works good. I have owned a Uni-saw, and two Jet Cabinet saws, all of which were excellent, but the Powermatic 2000 is a step above all the others. The adjustment handles work effortlessly, and the saw runs as smooth as silk with no vibration what so ever. The power switch is ideally located, and easy to shut off with the knee while keeping both hands on the stock after cutting. The fit and finish is great, and it looks good just sitting there. I think "it's a good thing".

5Summer long decision.
By F.M.
I took the entire summer to make my decision on which cabinet saw to buy. I found it 100X more stressful than buying my truck or deciding on a "significant other". I built Excel spreadsheets trying to help analyze the decision; hours reading manuals online, and I went to see or use every saw on my short list. The short list had a `green', a `gray' and two `gold' saws. The `black' saw was just completely out of my price range.I visited a local woodworker that has a dream shop and uses `green' machines exclusively. He creates some incredible work pieces so obviously the `green' machines are capable. The 5 HP upgrade and router table accessory were very positive points favoring the `green' choice. Ultimately, however, I passed over the `green' choice because of it's fence. You cannot exchange or upgrade with the green machine except to discard and buy after market. If Sears can offer a Biesemeyer fence then I suspect Green could too. That brings us to the `gray' machine. I wavered daily, sometimes hourly. I started an order `cart' a dozen times. This is a good machine with a good fence and made in America. The tabletop is not as big, nor is the saw itself as heavy as the Gold machines.Going For the GOLD: During an exchange of emails inquiring about delivery charges, "Robert" at Southern Tool recommended the model 66. He works in the business and wrote that he could have any saw he wanted but chose the 66 for his own use. That was a powerful recommendation. I wavered for nearly a week between the 66 and the PM2000. There is only a few dollars difference between the two; the principle difference in cost is the mobile base that seems necessary for the 66. And maybe it needs a better blade guard or dust shroud?I am a beginning woodworker and only have half a garage for a shop so mobility is a MAJOR issue. And then, on the day before I ordered my saw, I had a `kickback' on my Craftsman contractor saw. The deciding factors for me then became the integral base and the riving knife on the PM2000.I bought the PM2000 w/ 30" AccuFence. The serial number is in 10k range and shows a June 2006 manufacture date. Amazon was out of stock so I went thru Southern Tool on the internet. I ordered on a Friday and received a call the following Friday from the freight company to schedule the delivery on Monday. The saw was drop shipped directly from Powermatic. For an extra $125 residential delivery, Spokane Transfer put the saw in my garage and suggested that I remove the shipping carton and inspect the saw before signing the manifest. Everything arrived in excellent condition.I did the entire setup by myself. I rented an engine hoist from the local rental center for $14 and with nylon straps raised the saw a few millimeters off the pallet so I could pull it out from under the saw. If you try this, BE MINDFUL that you do not run the straps near or over the casters.Based on other reviews that I had read, I had a Starrett 505A-12 protractor, a Veritas straight edge (get a 36" not the 24") and a magnetic base and dial indicator waiting for the saw. I also had a spray can of degreaser, lots of paper towels and a tube of Lenox lubricating wax for the tabletop left over from my band saw purchase.Assuming that I used it correctly the dial indicator said that there was there was virtually no arbor run out (.002) and the miter slots and blade angles were nearly perfect. I found the arbor collar to be so precisely machined that it was difficult to remove it from the arbor so I could install the saw blade.I spent a couple of hours putting the table extensions on. It was time consuming but well spent, as it was possible to set them absolutely flat with the saw. The next afternoon I installed the AccuFence. All the holes lined up except one on the end of the wood table extension.I had one issue on the setup so I sent an email to the tech support people at Powermatic and received an immediate response requesting that I call them for support rather than exchange emails. In rereading the instructions thoroughly AGAIN before I called, I worked through the issue and have not yet tested the technical support response. The fence is INCREDIBLE! Once set up, locking down the fence at a precise measurement on the rail produces that exact cut. I USUALLY double check the measurement with a steel rule but it has always been right on except when changing from a 1/8" to a thin kerf blade. The saw comes with a 6-foot 220 volt electrical pigtail, no plug. The electrical cord runs directly from a front mounted sealed switch box. Unless you break open the switch box (what does that do to the warranty?) you cannot wire a longer cord directly to the machine, only to the pigtail.I have two new saw blades: a WWII 40 blade and a Freud 80 ATB. With either, the "nickel test" is a predictable "No-brainer". There is NO vibration. Zero, Nawtha, NONE.The PM2000 just hummmmmmmmms. I can't hear the saw over my dust collector. My old contractor saw SCREAMED at me.During one rip cut I forgot to change the blade and took a long, precise ¼" slice off a piece of ¾" oak with the WWII blade. It was incredible, like resawing veneer with a band saw. I have since done the same thing with ¼" plywood. The precision is remarkable.PROS -Excellent locking repeatable precision fence systemVibration free, clean, straight cutsSaw is a heavy, well-made machineRiving knifePride of ownership. It's a Powermatic!Miter gauge is accurate and easy to readBevel gauge is also accurate and easy to read. The saw makes 45 deg bevels and miters that are 45 degrees. Imagine that!No fancy (or otherwise) customer satisfaction surveys to fill out fromeither Powermatic or Southern Tool. Is that a good thing? Hmmmmmm.CONS -Integral base. There is nothing wrong with it, I have just NOT used it. I found a central place for the saw and that's where it has stayed. I would NOT have needed a mobile base for the 66, `Green', or `Gray'.Dust collection: the dust shroud is useful but it is not that terrific with my 2 HP `Green' canister collector through a ten foot 4" collector hose. There is still dust accumulation inside the saw. It will absolutely suck the small pieces of wood and shavings down the shroud tube but there is an annoying amount of dust left on the tabletop and around the fence rails. It cries out for a dust collector attachment on a blade guard such as an Excaliber or Biesemeyer blade guard system. I had factored that into the cost of the 66 but it is also needed here. Perhaps a table insert made with some high tech honey combed composite would suck down more dust?Tablet Insert: I bought a Freud box joint cutter blade set but can't use it. The table insert opening is too small. I need another (dado?) insert even for a 3/8" blade. Where are the accessories for the PM2000?Wood table insert: See the picture of the PM2000 on page 85 of the October, 2006 Woodworker's Journal. Notice that the end of the fence rail (right side) does not cover the end of the wood table insert (right side) which has a gap in the laminated cover. It looks amateurish and shows little attention to detail.Would I buy the PM2000 again? NO.The characteristics that pushed me toward the PM2000: the integral base and dust shroud have turned out to be unimportant or not as effective as I had hoped. The lack of availability for accessories for the PM2000 is a big problem: as of the end of September, expected delivery of dado inserts from Powermatic was quoted as "mid December"."Robert" from Southern Tool: if you are reading this, I apologize for not listening to your suggestion: I should have bought the 66. It is made in America, there are accessories readily available and MOST IMPORTANTLY it is also a POWERMATIC.While wishing I had bought a model 66, I am ABSOLUTELY and ECSTATICALLY happy with the PM2000. I am NOT sending this back. This is my saw for LIFE.Precision is a state of mind. When you know it is possible it is fun to achieve it. It was disheartening to spend an afternoon with my old contractor saw creating firewood instead of woodworking projects. The PM2000 has made woodworking fun. However, there is ONE other CON to consider. Since I got the PM2000 I have been spending hours and hours in the garage doing projects and building `stuff'. Mostly, I have been having great fun!Apparently, I have also been ignoring my `significant other', my lawn and my truck because they are all in need of maintenance. Even my little Maltese thinks her dad has abandoned her.Obviously, I need to better prioritize my shop time. Starting next week I am going to spend more time with my little dog.

5Worthwhile product thought
By J. Stutzmann
I had been mind set for a while on the Powermatic 64 after looking at other makes and although I did not much like to put such a machine on a separate base I needed the mobility. I am pleased that I held off and bought the PM 2000.The wheel system works well (lots of handle turns) but one can move the saw with one hand. Overall, the fit and finish is satisfying. The polished handwheels operate smoothly and effortlessly and look good in their finish. The cast iron table top and wings are milled the best that I have seen on other makes and were flat. The safety switch is sizeable and allows you to see if power is on at the machine. The blade guard and riving knife slip off with ease for those operations when they have to be removed.I had a problem with a faulty lower support bracket that allows the upper support for the riving blade to sit pararell to the table. I found the technical support from WMH Tools very helpful and prompt in their attempts to solve the problem sending out an engineer to rectify the fault. Both the engineer and I felt that the arbor lock can be subject to deformation if the arbo lock nut is just over tightened. Inside the arbor lock housing there is a cutaway in the lock itself for the return spring which reduces the cross sectional area of metal against shear.Generally though, everything about the machine feels solid, no vibration and a smooth quiet cut with a Woodworker II thin kerf blade and stabiliser. I am very happy with the purchase and it is a pleasure to use. It would be good if Powermatic applied the built-in wheel philosophy to their bandsaw and jointer models. If you order the 30" rail model you need to order the laminated plywood extension table separately.

5Works surprisingly well!
By R. Klein
I bought this to create a permanent paddock for 2 horses. The paddock is only about half an acre, however we wanted something with enough power to expand if necessary. You cannot have TOO much power - it will not harm your animals.First thing I noticed is that the case of this charger is metal. Shocking(no pun intended), as every charger I have seen has had a plastic case that slowly deteriorates in the sun, gets brittle, and cracks. Hopefully, it will not rust out, but the paint coating seems heavy and has good coverage. The directions that come with the charger are pretty good, and give lots of tips on grounding. It also recommends to place the charger in sunlight for 5 days before using. But, like most people, I could not wait that long to use my new toy. I turned the knob to 'On' and it immediately jumped up to green and 'ticked' every second, as expected.I was in a rush to install this paddock, so I only let it sit outside for about a day before permanently installing it on a 4x4 post. There are 2 keyholes in the back to hang it on some protruding screws. Our fence had a top row of 1/2" tape and then 3 rows of 12 gage galvanized wire. Now, to grounding. This is the most important part of chargers and the part where people make the most mistakes and think their charger is 'broken.' The manual recommends 3 6-10 foot galvanized or copper stakes driven deep enough to hit wet dirt and 10 feet apart. Well...I live in Texas, and we are suffering one of the worst droughts in history. This paddock is also on the slope of a hill, where I am sure there is no water to speak of. I started with just a single 4 foot piece of rebar and drove it in almost all the way to the ground. Surprisingly, this was enough to get a great ground - my voltmeter was reading 6kV all around the paddock. Reader beware - It could be that I am only fencing in half an acre, and if I were to use the 25 miles that this charger is rated, I may not see the same results. In addition, the rebar WILL rust, and will eventually need to be replaced/upgraded, however I was in a rush and wanted to see if it would work before I bought 3 $40 copper rods from Tractor Supply.Oh, and I guess the most important thing - does it work with horses? Well, the horses were in a very poorly maintained(not by us) electric paddock, and our mare learned that she could just go under/between the wire and escape as the fence wasn't always charged or was weak. Fence has been in for 3 weeks, we visit every other day, and we notice that they keep at least 6 feet distance from the fence. They were very wary to even approach us on the other side of the fence with treats, so I would say it works great!

5The best I've used
By Angus
I've used and gone through numerous solar fence chargers over the years, and none of them were of this quality. I've had this charger in place for over 28 days now, and due to its location, I can only get about 2-3 hours of sunlight per day. The charger is still reading good and I've seen it shock a cow or two recently. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. It's well made, and holds a charge longer than anything I've had before.

5Great fencer!
By Carol Nelson
We've had this fencer for about 10 years now and it has been completely trouble-free. I couldn't be more pleased! We have it installed on a wide tape fence, three "rails" covering about 5-6 acres, and there is plenty of juice from this charger for our horses. This week I noticed that the battery does not seem to be holding a charge anymore, (after 10 years!) so I am looking to replace it, but it is still working for now (when there is enough light) until I get a new battery in a few days. Hopefully in the meantime the horses won't notice that it's not working at night or on really cloudy days.
