KYB's perfect on my 2000 Lexus SC400
By Robert Goodrich
Like most people that purchase online I read real customer reviews - not the ones on a shoe site where everything is wonderful. My 2000 Lexus SC400 is a Socal car from day one and in excellent condition. By the time it reached 115k miles it really began to wallow around on anything that wasn't dead flat so I put new KYB's on the front - oh, what a difference but then the rear was exposed for what it was; just plain worn out too. Put KYB's on the rear too and I can honestly say the car rides just like new. Opps, forgot to mention when I did the fronts I have new lower control arms installed too as the bushings were shot and the ball joints getting loose too. BTW - same arms for a Toyota Supra are one-third the price as identical Lexus arms.

Sm-o-o-o-o-th
By vacuumtubejazzpro
My Lexus OEM shocks with 160K miles on 'em had sprung a major leak, rendering them useless, so I suppose anything would have been an improvement - but I'm pretty happy with these. For the first day or two, they rode a bit firmly, but then they smoothed right out to the point where I think they're smoother than the shocks they replaced. You can't really consider this an enthusiast shock, but for the other 90% of us -- and at the incredibly low price I paid on Amazon -- I think most people will be more than satisfied. One thing I want to point out: Most aftermarket shocks are significantly firmer than the OEM shocks they're designed to replace. In almost every case, you will end up with a much stiffer ride. That's a really good thing for cornering and performance driving, less so for day-to-day driving and/or commuting. This KYB is one of the very few shocks/struts out there that won't make your car ride more firmly than it did originally, so choose wisely.
