so i ordered it 3 days before it arrived...installation was about 2 hrs long, it sounded amazing i had a slight increase in hp i cant say how much but it wasnt alot...one thing i do feel a difference in is speed, not acceleration but SPEED...around 4,000 rpm i can go slightly faster and i can hit 100 mph with no struggle...K&N says it will only fit a manual transmission, which is kind of a false statement...if you want the COLD AIR INTAKE the battery support thing makes it very difficult on the automatic...the great thing about this intake is it can be a short ram intake as well, so if you want COLD AIR a manual transmission would fit it nicely but for an automatic you need to do the short ram intake, which in my opinion is less maintenance on your car since cold air intakes seem to let water in your engine plus they need to be cleaned very often because of their location UNDER the car...my mpg has improved slightly and there is a nice rumble from under the hood, you can HEAR it sucking in air even at idle..its amazing...its nice that people car hear a sound from under your hood and not from behind your car like ricers with fart cannons...plus it looks pretty bad @$$ when you lift the hood

I literally purchased this item two days before it got to my house, the shipping is really fast. also i was really surprised at how much faster it made my 02 civic i bought this item for the sound and dident really expect it to help much with speed but ied say it gave my car a good 10-15hp.

I gave this 5 *'s so I'm not going to use the cute words about being great or wonderful. I will review the install and how this product performs during the first drive.I have a 2001 Civic Manual Coupe EX. This system is designed for this model car and fits and aligns to all the key mounting points perfectly. The hose tube and sensor inputs are in exactly the right spot and this system has a nice sized piping while being VERY lightweight. The kit came with all the bells and whistles including the mounting parts, a photo direction booklet, and several decals to add to the kit or your car. I appreciate the quality of the parts, all nicely painted and welded. K&N includes shock resistant mounting posts for added durability to the system. The connecting sleeves are high quality hose pieces reinforced with an integrated mesh for added strength, which use the standard hose clamps to connect the pipes. I appreciate the bag cover for the filter but will have to wait and see how that will increase the filter performance.Aside from being a snug fit around the battery tray and taking a little time, like understanding an M.C. Escher drawing, the system fits very well. I recommend using the box it came in cut into small square strips of cardboard to protect the pipe from one or other brackets under the lower mount. I covered it with cardboard so I could slide the pipe snug against it down into position.I noticed a nice subtle deep engine sound coming from the new system and did feel a small increase (above my old air intake system I was replacing) on the first test run. Another point, I did have to adjust the filter "position" as it was rattling against the frame for the battery tray or other at certain RPMs (I couldn't see it) but was able to adjust the filter just a bit to correct. Maybe I had it wrongly positioned on first install. You can see my photos on the product page.
