Easy Fix for RAV-4 Error Code P1135

My daughter's 2003 RAV-4 Check Engine light came on recently -- error code showed P1135 (Upstream Left Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor). I replaced it with the Denso 234-9023 sensor from Amazon and it fixed the problem.I also ordered the Tektron 4929 oxygen sensor socket from Amazon (about $7) at the same time as the sensor. It made the job simple - less than 10 minutes! The sensor is located on the driver's side near the radiator and is easily accessible from the top. Use the socket with a 3/8" breaker bar. There is no need to remove anything to access the sensor. Be sure to use the anti-seize compound that comes with the sensor and don't over-tighten the new sensor.

works on 2001 RAV4

Worked great on 2001 toyota rav4. fits sensor 1 position 1 (in the usa that is the top drivers side sensor). first i read the trouble codes with scangauge II , bought the appropriate oxygen sensor , replaced it, cleared the code, and i haven't had any trouble since. before the rav was stumbling really bad on acceleration and not much power.a week later i pulled out the mass air flow (maf) sensor and cleaned it with maf sensor cleaner because the scangauge was giving me 2 new codes about lean mixture. i used half a can on that sensor. i cleared the codes and haven't seen them since. rav runs great now. i am about to pull the fuel injectors and get them cleaned because the car has over 80K miles on it so i know they need cleaning. i found out you should clean the maf once every few years depending on your environment because air filter lint and other contaminants can built up on it. the maf is actually a combo of maf and iat. i have pics but i will post later. the scangauge2 works great by-the-way , well worth the money. oh, rav is getting 29mpg on highway with the tires at 55psi. can't wait to see what i get with clean fuel injectors. i'll probably clean the throttle body when i remove the injectors i am sure it needs it.

I've been wanting get this sse-pan for my rodo since 04 when i got my truck.so when i came home from work thursday,and backed in my driveway[like a million times before]Boom! hit the garage.messed the thin a## bumper up.aright now i get my roll pan.it fits real good,looks good,easy to get lined up to tailgate,but,licene plate light needs to be cut out,best thing to do is get a plate frame that has led lights in it,you can get one here on amazon for a great price.

Excellent Product

This is my second one of these Kits and, like the first one, this product didn't disappoint. I put this on my '95 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 and was amazed that it would have the effect it did. It eliminated almost all of the lag between the time you hit the gas and the engine responds. It's no longer gasping for air. I do some pretty serious off-roading and this has helped a lot. It got pretty wet the first time out but had no obvious detrimental effect. I have since bought one of the Pre-Charger covers to keep it dry but for the average application this is probably unnecessary. As far as possible increase in gas mileage, I haven't noticed any either way, but I know when I put one similar to this on my SVT it gave between 1-2 MPG more. It's usually no problem to self-install, but some are easier than others. Get this product!

98 toyota 4 runner. i am a delivery driver, which means that i am always fighting gas prices and struggling to keep my car going. so when i saw that this will improve gas mileage i was sold. when i got it, sure the first week i was driving pretty aggressively hard starts to make it roar, it sounds awesome, but when it comes down to it i haven't heard that sound in a while. the sound it makes when you drive like a normal person isnt much different from stock which is fine with me. i like to surprise passengers, the expression on my co workers face when i floored it getting threw a yellow light, the kick back from the extra horse power and the ROOOAR made him get one as well. better gas mileage when driven correctly. the only side affect...which is a series one. the cone filter has a tendency to fall off. this can be fixed with, a crew threw the rubber parts. it had fallen off and was driving with it off for about 2 days. till i noticed the sound was off. but quick easy fix

The directions were a little vague but anyone that's handy can get it done in an hour. All the parts needed were included unlike some other person indicated. I didn't care for that tube portion with the K&N stamp on it of the filter was plastic. I don't know about the fuel saving and horse power stuff. What you do notice is going uphill you won't need to gear down as fast as you use to.

Very nice

At around 210,000 miles the battery light came on in my 4runner. Intermittently at first, then constant. Cranking the heaterfan or switching on headlights didn't seem to have an affect, but the overall brightness of the headlights seemed dimmer than usual and the dash lights were also darker.Asked my local mechanic who said it was the alternator. Checked dealership who confirmed it was the alternator and asked for $600 to replace.Looked around online and this brand / make is the OEM part for my 4runner. Ordered via prime, visited my library and took notes from chiltons and other reference manuals. Bought a nice torque wrench, and replaced. Replacing was a little harder than I expected (tight space etc) but not bad at all.My truck is perfect again. Lights are as bright as they should be.

Another great K&N product

Just as described in the product description. There is nothing to complain about here. I would recommend that if you are going to add such a free flowing intake that you also change your exhaust from the header all the way back. By doing that you can take full advantage of what all the K&N can do for your vehicle. The quality of the materials that make the adaptor plate are far superior to any others on the market. I really like this product and would purchase again. I know there is some cheaper options availabe these days but I stick with K&N quality.

Bought this for a 94 Toyota pickup, wasn't expecting much with k&n only advertising about 5 hp but I can tell the difference, truck sounds better and can now do the speed limit on the highway with the ac on haha. Might not seem that great but it's more than I expected, overall pleased with the product.

Gator gig rack review

This is great! I'm using for a live rig where i'll put my synth modules in the bottom, and a mixer up top for submixing my keys and setting up the monitor mix for the band. I bought at probroadcastsupply online as they were the cheapest from google shopping comparison. Cost about 400 with shipping! The Ratcheting system up top is very nice indeed! The K&N Air intake kit fit perfectly and installed easily. Towing my 12,500# fifth wheel I went from 7.3 to 8.5 mpg, may not seem like much but that works out to 16%. I'll pay for the kit on this summers trip alone.There is a significant higher level of noise during acceleration which is to be expected. The filter collects debris rather quickly, also to be expected, which is easily removed by washing the filter. Never have to buy a new filter again. Power is enough more to notice though I don't know how to quantify it.The only down side, and the reason for four stars vs five stars is a high pitch squeal between about 1800 and 2200 rpm. Of course that is the normal engine operating range at highway speeds so the squeal can be pervasive even if low in volume. I have tried tightening the connections to no avail. At this point the mpg and power improvements out weight the annoyance of the squeal.

Again, Amazon got this to me quick with FREE shipping. It's K&N, what can you say? It hooked right up, took about 15 or 20 minutes to install on my 8.1 liter Chevy. There is definitely a difference in acceleration.
