Bosch Alternator

Given my substantial previous experience with reman'd alternator, I wanted to get a new one if at all possible. Many reman's have a high failure/return rate, and i'm starting to get older and don't want to be doing this every other week. I'm glad I went with a brand new Bosch alternator. While it did cost almost double what I could have gotten a reman'd unit for, even from Bosch, I still feel more confident with this unit. To ensure customer satisfaction, Bosch includes a free lifetime roadside assistance plan in case this baby ever fails. Side by side with a reman unit, you can immediately see the difference in quality with the new unit. Good price on amazon for a great product. Highly recommended!

BOSCH FOR LIFE!

I have a 2003 ford ranger 4x4 with a 4.0 L engine. My alternator went bad so I replaced it with this BOSCH alternator and not only does everything run better but all my warning lights went off as well. I would highly recommend this alternator to others. It's reliable and cheaper then any other name brand alternator with 135 watts that I could find.

Works great-- perfect fit.

I replaced this in my 2000 BMW 323i (e46) in about 45 minutes from the time I took the back seat out until I put it back in (be sure to disconnect your battery...you are dealing with gasoline, after all!). YouTube and various BMW DIY forums were indispensable and gave me a ton of confidence to do the job. It's amazing how easy it is in that car, and it saved me a good $800 in the process. So far, the pump's been running smoothly for about 500-1000 miles with no problems. (The car's just a daily driver, so I can't boast of crazy performance gains, particularly.) I'm hoping that this one holds up for 40-50,000 miles. If it does, then I'll definitely order another one.

Good deal!

Picked this up to replace the fuel pump in a 2000 BMW 323CI. The plastic hanger assembly has 'VDO' marked on it (VDO makes the OEM setup), didnt bother inspecting if the pump itself was Bosch or VDO. Direct replacement, total time to install was under 30 minutes start to finish, works great.

Excellent price for OEM quality fuel pump assembly.

Since I'm the 1st to review this fuel pump assembly I did quite a bit of leg work to make sure it was the correct one for my 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 4.0L engine. This included several phone calls to Bosch technical support.The 1st Bosch rep I spoke with said this #67646 Electric Fuel Pump Assembly is the correct one for my 96 Jeep but it doesn't come with the rubber tank seal and most don't. He said I'd have to buy the seal from the dealer which I did for $15. I'll be taking this seal back to the dealer since he was wrong and the rubber tank seal was included in the box with the pump.Once I received the fuel pump assembly it was really confusing since the photo on the box was not the same one as in the box. Plus the numbering was different. The unopened box has a label which says #67646, F00E19056, and pump assembly photo shows the fuel line coming out of the top of the pump at a 90 degree angle. But the pump in the box has the fuel line coming straight up out of the assembly where the quick disconnect fuel line coupling attaches. Also the number on the top of the pump, and bag it's in, is F00E190655. The last digit is 5 instead of 6 on the box.Called Bosch and the rep said it is typical for this number to be off by 1 digit and it's the correct one. He also said they get these assemblies directly from Chrysler/Jeep and repackage them. The line coming straight up is the correct one.Installed the new assembly and it was a perfect fit. Fuel pressure at the rail is 52 psi and spec is 49-51psi plus/minus 2psi. Electrical connector was correct w/good gauge protected wires while gas gauge and check valve also work perfect.I'd highly recommend this fuel pump assembly which is specific to 96 Jeep models. It also fits the 96 5.2L in addition to 4.0's. And you won't find a better price at $222. On ebay it's selling for $335 and even higher elsewhere. Bosch promotes this pump being able to operate even in high temps and I believe that. Only gave it 4 0ut of 5 stars because of the labeling/box confusion. Great deal and actually better than the OEM pump!
