A very More-ish Scent!

Ive always been a fan of the work of Madame Gres and I bought the scent purely on her reputation as a designer. It's simply is gorgeous a strong fragrance it reminds me slightly of one of my other favourites 'Capucci' It smells very French as one would hope and also has a vaguely medicinal, Cold, antiseptic whiff that is very beautiful. I LOVE it and will be buying more!

Sorry but I made the mistake of buying this item because of the low price. When I got the item, I inmediately noticed that it looked different. it wasn't until I tried it that I realized that it doesn't smell like the original. This is most definitely a knock off.I talked to the vendor and they deny it, and say they cannot take it back because it has been opened. All I can say it that it was a lesson learned, and I will be more careful next time when I buy something.Edwin

Classic, Timeless!

About 20 years ago, my aunt, who was visiting from France, gave my mother a bottle of Calandre. It was such a beautiful scent, and on occasion, I would sneak into my mother's room, and steal a spray or two. On one occasion, I was able to purchase a bottle at Bloomingdales, but could never find it again. Then by sheer coincidence, I check Amazon and was thrilled to find they carried it. This is a timeless, classic scent--not heavy, not too light, evokes an innocence that is rare in most perfumes. I hope Amazon will continue to sell this product, so that I can continue buying it for my mom.

Expectations met

I bought Calandre 40 years ago and I have always remembered it as my favorite. The fragrance is fresh, crisp and long-lasting. My daughter who is in her mid twenties likes it too, so I conclude that it is a scent that can appeal to younger as well as older women.

The product arrived perfectly packaged. And that is where the perfection ended. It had an unpleasant and musty finish, which made it unwearable. Perhaps the scent was too old and had deteriorated. Because it was unwearable, it was returned to the sender.

Very Nice Fragrance

I had never used this scent before but had read that it was similar to Chanel 5. While Norell is a very nice fragrance it doesn't really remind me of Chanel at all. The good news is that it is a very nice fragrance. It has a very nice flowery scent, slightly strong until it dries down and then very, very nice. More good news is that it's about half the price of Chanel. It also stayed with me for a long time which I like. I did recieve a compliment or two also. Always a sure fire sign that its a nice scent.

This cologne has been around for years and it has not lost its fragramatic qualities. I love Norell because it gains its smell from your moods. It is a soft fragrance that can be enjoyed not only by the person wearing it but also by others as you come into contact with it.

This is an old school fragrance. Charles Norell was a big time designer and the fragrance was developed by Revlon. My 90 year old Mom asked me to get her Norell, well it's not avilable at any department stores, the gals that work there never even heard of it. Five Star Fragrances still sells the stuff, thank god and it seems to be the same stuff thank goodness. I have had to buy popular fragrances and there about $50, so this bottle is a bargain at around $20. Thank you.

Amazing Classic Green

Niki de Saint Phalle is very green on top, and somewhat similar to Silences, Guepard, Mori Couture, & Lauren in that regard. There is something indolic about NdSP. The leather, powder & carnation are gorgeous and open nearly straight away on me. Very different from other chypres I've been sampling lately.NdSP is signature-scent worthy, no doubt. I'm looking for a wet green and chypre to add to my collection - this one just went to the top of my wish list because it's a bit of both. Sold!

I have used Niki for 25 years or more. it is tough to find...they seem to put it on the market, then take it off, then back again. it is a very pleasant & distict flower sent. Most of my friends love it when I wear it & ask what is it? its really not expensive for the quality you receive
