Beware of constant audible hum from charging circuit.

I purchased one of these to replace my aged BR1000. I thought I would go up in capacity/runtime, and this unit is of identical form factor = no rearranging my desk. However the internals are different and this unit makes a very audible (not loud, but audible) hum from the charging circuit, whether on or off. I will be returning it and likely getting a battery for my BR1000, because the hum is going to drive me nuts.

Excellent UPS

The product was shipped quickly. All needed items came with the unit. Set up was easy. I set the protection as narrow as possible. It has saved my computer/data several time now. Well worth the price.

works !

Works as advertised and was cheaper than any computer store. Sometimes I can hear it clicking on and off providing smooth power as I sit at the computer which doesn't miss a beat. Hawaii's power grid is comparable to Yugoslavia's -- you better have a UPS for your electronics and a generator in your storage shed.I shudder to think what would be left of my brand new iMac if I had just plugged it into our island's stone-age power supply.

Nice mics, cheap accessories

I've used these mics for recording steel and nylon string acoustic guitars, violin, wooden flute, vocals, and piano. These mics have done well for all of these applications, providing a pleasing tone and low noise floor. While I do find the treble to be a bit too bright sometimes, it is not particularly harsh.I used to own a pair of SE1 mics, the predecessor to these. I bought the new ones before selling the old, and opted to keep one of the old ones because, in spite of the marketing literature, I find the tone quality to be quite different between them and still pretty good on the SE1. So if you want to upgrade from SE1 to SE1A and are hoping for a noise floor improvement only, you should be aware of this.I have to say, though, that the supplied stand clips with mine are terrible... The joint is too loose and because of this it is very hard to keep the mics in place. I hope mine are not typical. I know they are not expensive mics, but for $300+ I would appreciate better quality on these accessories.

Sweet racquet. paint job is weird though. one side is a tad off from the other but from doing alot of research and contacting a yonex rep it seems to be a genuine. the serial i think is engraved, i keep scratching at it and isn't coming off and can't tell if i'm feeling the engraved part or something else.. packaging was tightly wrapped how it should be with a bar code/serial on one side. Had the new hologram that was hard to peel. So playing with it. it took some getting use to. I've been using a 3UG4 that hasn't been restrung for about 7 years. Alot say the 700s were good for doubles but i find it's great for both. Plenty of power all over the court with drives and smashes. Normally I play with plastics because rarely anyone brings feathers but when i do the shuttle literally teleports but either has a great sound when hit. Had a clash recently but only a paint chip :( didn't effect performance though. I really want to give it a 5 but that paint job where it trailed a bit bothers me Will post pictures to show the issue.

Solid Watch

Good automatic watch. You must be an active person to keep this watch wound. The sweep second hand of the chronometer will stop at 7 seconds every time if you don't keep the wrist active. But, it is an extremely accurate watch when fully wound. It is as impressive as my Rolex Submariner at a quarter of the price!

Elegant and modern

Looks great, perfect timing and althought I don't think I'll ever be using the tail wind and velocity gauges, is something pretty cool to have in a watch.I've always been a diver watch owner and this is my first aviation watch. Pretty happy with it. People look a it a lot too. The only down side is that the glowing dots are not as bright as I'm used to (no comparison with a diver's). Recommend it!

I can think of nothing better

First of all, I don't have this exact model. I have the offset version, where the G key is pushed slightly forward. However, as that's the only sort of flute I've ever played (my previous flutes were like that too), I can't really say what difference it makes. All I know is that this flute is incredible.When compared to an ordinary Gemeinhardt student flute (no holes, no B flat foot, different material, etc.), the difference is amazing. While the other one could occasionally give off a pleasant sound, this flute gives off a warm, full sound that is stunning compared to the stuffy sound of the student flute. Granted, this is a more difficult flute to play, requiring the player to have been playing for a few years, but once you hit the level of "intermediate", it can last you a lifetime (unless you choose to go pro). The holes come with corks/plugs already in them, making it very easy and convenient to slowly get yourself used to playing a flute with holes in the middle of the keys. The B-flat foot is also very convenient and useful.One problem arises with this flute that the student flutes don't have, and that's the issue of polishing. As this flute is made of silver (another reason why it is so much better and is more expensive), the upkeep is much more tedious and necessary. Cleaning the flute after every practice is always a given, but now it becomes important to polish the flute every once in a while to make sure it's not going black. However, this is a minor concern and soon becomes habit along with wiping down the flute after practice.One final point: I bought my flute in a music store after trying several other flutes by different companies. I found the single flute that was best for me. It happened to be this one. I encourage aspiring flautists to go to music stores and play the flutes they want, not to necessarily buy on the internet (unless it's significantly cheaper). The internet carries risks a music store does not have. This product review is intended to assist those seeking a flute, not change their minds or convince them one way or another.

I purchased this instrument 4 years ago, with gold mouthpiece and gold plated headjoint interior, for $800. I play weekly with my church music group, and the flute has been impeccable. I noticed the difference from my previous closed hole model immediately. The sound projects better and more warmly, and it is fairly easy to adapt. For performance you can't beat it! The Gemeinhardt namebrand also carries a very solid reputation.

My Gemeinhardt 3SB has served me very well for more than 25 years. It has a rich, bright sound and lovely feel. It has held its value, too. Used ones are selling for about the same amount I paid for it when it was new!
