5Learning Journey Desktop PC
By Jacqueline S. Gutierrez
My son enjoys the Learning Journey Desktop PC. It is small and fits in his room and has many interesting games on it. The graphics aren't as good as a real computer, but this toy lets him feel that he has a computer of his own. He can even pretend to send email. This toy runs on batteries and cannot take an adapter.

5Best kid's PC
By T. Stone
My husband and I looked at all the so called toddler "computers" on the market. Those things with the 2x2 screen and not much else? We decided to save our money. Then going through a Costco in JAPAN of all places, we ran across this item. IT'S FABULOUS (and yes it was in English though we were in Japan)! It has 30 "games" that cover all areas of reading, writing, comprehension, math, and even mock "email" so they understand the workings of a real PC. My oldest son--he was 2 1/2 when we bought it--figured out pretty fast which codes were associated with his favorite games. He also figured out the Help button would give the right answer if he didn't know. :) Now every time he sees the letter A he says, "A. Airplane!", because that's the word association the computer makes. We ordered our second one from Amazon because our younger boy was always wanting to play with it too. We may have to get a third when our daughter hits toddlerhood! I was disappointed that Amazon didn't offer free shipping with this item. But it's still worth getting. LOVE IT!!

5My son loves it!
By K. Haynes
Although my son is only 2 I believe this toy will grow with him for a few more years. It teaches numbers and letters and elementary spelling and even has some fun features like e-mail (pretend). The fact that it has a QWERTY keyboard and mouse is what my son loves the most because it looks like Mommy and Daddy's computer. I'd definitely recommend this.

Now I've had my new Tallit, and everything I bought from Amazon.com. And everything just ordered and after that I get as I want. The price is also not very expensive and moreover the quality of goods is also not pursuing other products. Thank you, everything I did and I bought through amazon.com.regards,timothy anton sarojaAbu Dhabi, UAE

5Is as stated
By Longhunter
This was purchased recently by me. It is a perfect conservative Tallit with traditional designs. Mine came with standard white tzitzit and modest white fabric atarah. I desired a traditional tallit as many today are too elaborate for my modest tastes. This fit the bill perfectly.

4Nice receiver, a few complaints
By M. Nickel
I am happy with this receiver and my Home Theater sounds great coupled with my Axiom Epic Grandmaster Speaker setup. I paid $750 for this receiver through amazon in October 2006. Thought about going up to the $1500 price point but realized I didnt need the added functionality. A few complaints, 2 of them rather minor.1. Volume readout text is too small. WOuld be nice to have larger text so I could actually see what level I use for different listening situations. As it is I cant actually read the number from where I sit.2. The remote could really use some backlighting. This complaint shouldnt be lessoned by the fact that many remotes suffer this same design oversight. They are all poorer for not incorporating this idea.3. When running my Xbox360 via component wires to this receiver and then via HDMI to my Samsung LNS4692D HDTV the picture is darkened. When I run the Xbox360 straight to my Samsung LNS4692D HDTV the picture is less dark (preferred). This makes a huge difference in games like Gears of War and Call of Duty 3 where the scenes are already dark. I decided to just leave the Xbox360 connected straight to the HDTV via component and run the digital audio to the receiver. This issue wouldnt allow me to run "just one cable" (the whole idea of HDMI) to my TV. Yamaha needs to look into this issue and figure out why going from component to HDMI darkens the picture.

5A great reciever at the price paid.
By C. Kelly
I purchased this unit off of Amazon about year ago. The seller sold it as an open box buy. I paid 400.00 for it and when I received it, it turned out to be factory sealed from Yamaha (not refurbished). This was a pleasant surprise. I had an older high end Yamaha unit that would not fit in my glass entertainment cabinet. So this was a viable option. I have used Yamaha receivers for about 20 years and none of them have ever died. I also like Denon as well (have one of these). I love the no clutter look of the higher end Yamaha receivers such as the RX-V1600. Now you see other MFG following suit. The sound of this unit is excellent. It has enough surround modes to suit the user. I also have a 64-bit PC running into the receiver and the sound is great. I highly recommend this product for either the amateur or the experienced audio enthusiast. Don't go to the local BB and get a reciever for much more money but way less qaulity.

5Love it!!
By J. Ramirez
My 7 year old son has been interested in the presidents for the last year or more. We bought him this for Christmas, and not even a month later, he has all of the presidents memorized along with most of the vice presidents. He can tell you in random order what number they were too. He knows a ton of presidential facts that I didn't even know! He can also tell you when they were born and died, and how long they were in office. He's working on memorizing the first ladies now. He plays with this everyday for hours. I realize not all kids are as into presidents as mine, but even if they are a little bit interested, this is a great tool. I feel like he has a huge head start in school!

5Teach your child about Presidential trivia
By Cathy Seifert
This was a replacement of the toy we have had for several years. My son used it so much he wore it out. He is blind and these type of toys are an easy and fast way to learn information sometimes not taught in our schools. He has memorized every question on this toy, which makes him look very smart. We have everyone of these types of toy we can find: Solar system, Underwater, Dinasours, United States, Continents the Human body. I wish they would make more of these, like The Periodic Table of elements. These can teach him in a way that school cannot. Well worth the money.

5Cuisinart
By m
This is a beautiful set of cookware and, I think, a great value...I paid $189.99 for 17 pieces, 15 of which are pots, pans & lids and 2 inserts..for pasta and for steaming. I like that there are 2 of the same size lid. You always get 1 lid that fits 2 items in the set and I would always use them at the same time and only be able to cover 1. No worries with this set--there is 1 lid for each. Also, I did a lot of price shopping before I picked this one and it's the only brand that calls it 17-piece and gives you all cookware. Every other set I saw that was over, say, 10 pieces-- the extra was knives or plastic utensils vs pots and pans. If it was 17 pieces, 7 to 9 of them were bowls, utensils, knives, etc. Rip offs for the prices they charged. And finally..the outside is nice and smooth, not ringed or otherwise textured...makes for nice cleanup and hopefully they'll stay nice looking longer than their predecessors. The ONLY thing I'm not thrilled with is that the lid handles do get warm...even hot. The pot and pan handles don't, but the lids definitely do. But for the price and quality? I have potholders.... Otherwise I would give it 5 stars. What the heck..5 it is!

5Cuisinart it's definately quality
By FastFreddie
The reason I decided to purchase these was simply because of the great customer service I had recieved from Cuisinart. I had purchased a frying pan and one of the 115V tines broke. I called Customer service and they sent me out a brand new pan no questions asked. These pans are great however they are NOT dishwasher safe. The outside finish will dull (Don't ask) but I recovered it with some olive oil. They wash quite quickly and nicely. Definately non stick. Great even heat.

1WERE GREAT AT FIRST - THEN TEFLON FLAKED OFF
By Doyle
I bought a set of Cuisinart teflon non-stick pans due to the fact that there was supposed to be a lifetime warranty. Well when the teflon coating started peeling, I contacted customer service 1-800-726-0190 and was assured that if I sent them back they would warranty the pans. I stressed that they were several years old and the girl said that was ok. I spent $30 to FedEx the pans (sent back all pans in the set) and was also required to enclose a check for $10 to cover return shipping. After about a month, I had not heard anything, so I called and they had no record of receiving. I related the fedex confirmation and they said to give it another week to update my file. I called back in a week and the girl said that there was a note in the file saying "costomer abuse". I asked what that meant and she said she didn't know. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was referred to "Daniel". Daniel said that he would look into it and it was up to "corporate" and he had no input. He said he would call me back in 24 hours. Daniel did not call back in 24 hours, so in 48 hours I called and asked for him. He still said that it was up to corporate - I said that was not good enough; I have $40 more dollars invested in the pans. I told him that I have never seen a pan that eventually did have some peeling and wearing off of the teflon and a "lifetime warranty" should be honored. I also asked for a supervisor higher up.A day later I got a call from "Dena". Dena (clanging pans sound) said the the customer abuse was using too high of heat which caused the teflon to fail - she also said that it was evident that metal utensils were used. Neither of which are true, the pans were just old and wearing out, but we bought them initially because of the lifetime warranty. Dena stated that if they just replaced pans for everybody that they would go broke replacing pans and they were NOT going to warranty my pans. Due to my constant whining, she did agree to ship back the pans (received but damaged with dings on the edges), refund my $30 shipping and the $10 check (have not received yet). My response was since she was going to ship my pans back at a cost of $20 (probably their cost to ship) and write a check for $40, wouldn't it be wiser to invest that $60 and send us a new set of pans that have a (Cousinart cost) of $60. She said "Look, we generally don't refund the original shipping, so NO". I also told Dena that I would post a positive Amazon review as well as a negative Amazon review whichever was needed. She said that was my right. So here I am with the negative - I will never buy Cuisinart again and ther warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on...

4The best money can buy.
By 80sGuy
I bought these to replace some 6 year-old nonstick pots and pans which warped like....well, to make a long story short; this time, I am going Stainless-Steel! Although I would love to have an All-Clad set, but where else can you get a quality 17-Piece like this for more or less around $200 - and ships for FREE from amazon?I have read many reviews (many negative ones) and this is my conclusion:1.) Yes, 'Stainless-Steel' sticks! Not to mock this, but that's why 'Nonstick' cookware was invented - perhaps for the folks that do not know how to cook in stainless-steel. Easy remedy: return your set for a Nonstick set...if not, a little oil and lower your heat will do the trick. But, in addition to my stainless set, I will always have one nonstick skillet handy for my eggs (it's just much quicker and easier). But for searing and browning; there's no comparison to stainless-steel!2.) Some complaint that the sides don't heat up compared to other brands: Yes they do, if you want to spend a little more $$ for the 'Multi-Clad' line. Also, unless you plan on cooking your food "on the sides", otherwise the encapsulated base heats evenly and works flawlessly for me.3.) Stains, Marks and Colorful Swirls - If you use it to cook food, then expect the usual marks and normal wear - maybe even some tear. My solution for all of the above: 'BKF', OR unless you plan on displaying it for good. The set:There are TWO different 17-Piece sets available from the Chef's Classic line; the other one comes with a 2 qt. open 'Saucier' (and odd sizes for the rest) but I opted for this one because it is more versatile beginning with a 1.5 qt. Saucepan, then 2 and 3, a 12" Covered Skillet and for the Pasta Insert, etc, etc..Again, for the money, they are as good as you can get. The product has a very solid feel to it and an even-weight distribution - light, yet heavy enough to do the task. Although I did find some minor flaws; like a few minor buffed-out scratches by the bottom edge between the encapsulated base on my 1.5 qt. The 'lips' on some of the larger pans (closer to the handles) seem to have bent down a bit; this produces a very small gap when the lid is covered, particularly on the 12" skillet where you can see an 'arch' effect with its lid on (the large lid is uneven on this one) and pressing it down once tends to reduce the effect. Though nothing significant, but it just appears to break that 'vacuum seal' and not so perfect tight-fit lid that was claimed by the mfg.I have put all of them to a rigorous test for the '08 Christmas - '09 New Year's feast and they have performed very well. It cooks evenly on my old electric 'coil' stove top burner, although it could've been much better if I've had a gas range, this way I have more control of the cooking temperatures (very essential for heavy-bottomed cookwares).Pros:*Design - lip for spill-proof easy pouring.*Good heat distribution (not great).*Oven safe up to 450 degrees, that's high for a set priced like this.*Handles: well balanced and stays cool no matter how long it's been on the burner.*Most lids are interchangeable, especially for the 8" & 10" open skillets and they also fit other non Cuisinart that I have laying around.*Nicely polished stainless-steel exterior and lids.*Sturdy and well weighted/balanced.*Well priced.Cons:*Workmanship and Quality Control (minor, this reduces one star).*Slow to heat (especially the 9 qt Stockpot for cooking pasta compared to my other pot with the same amount of water).*Pasta insert bottom sits a bit high (if sat lower, can prevent the use of more water so heat up time can be faster and to avoid boil-over spills).

1Cheap for a reason
By Frank Luo
I have always loved food and have been an avid cook for decades. I wanted to move up from the cheapo Farberware and other such "ordinary" tools to a better set and bought Cuisinart, because I didn't quite want to go as far up as AllClad with the $1,200 set.I am sorry to say that I found out soon enough why these are as cheap as this.First of all, these have the bonded bottoms where a separate heat conducting material is bonded to the bottom of the pot, then sandwiched in with another layer of stainless steel. The instructions that came in the package (and which you will not find in the item description) tells you that if you used anything beyond medium heat on the stove or heated them empty, the conducting layer (aluminum alloy) may melt and the second layer of stainless steel on the bottom may simply fall off. Great. So it may fall apart if I wanted to heat it up empty or just with oil to sear something quick.Second, the steel is not quite stainless. The mirror finish on the outside held up well enough, but the steel on the inside -- the part that actually touches the food -- is of very low quality. I made a simple stock with a pot and it pitted on the bottom, with a few gray spots. No amount of scrubbing would get these out, whether with Barkeeper's Friend or with steel wool. Subsequent cooking has resulted in more and more spots of various colors with different foods, which can only mean that the steel is of very low quality, with pockets of impurities that will react with different ingredients in food.I might have fixed this by seasoning the cookware, but remember? You can't heat these empty or the bottoms may fall off. These are cheap for a reason. If you must have bonded construction and don't have the budget for an all AllClad or La Creuset kitchen, look to Sur la Table for a serviceable intermediate set at a good price. The fact that the steel in these things react with my food is really scary to me because I don't know what the impurities might be and whether or not they might be getting into my food.Oh and Belgique does the same thing with the pitting. These are cheap for a reason -- because they have gone on to use really lousy materials. Don't fall for it.

5Nice set - great price
By Maria Anastasia
I finally decided after many years that it was time to treat myself to a new set of decent cookware - following the purchase of a new stove with a glass/ceramic cooking surface. The manual recommended aluminum clad with straight sides and flat bottoms. When I researched the best in this category (not including the very expensive dual clad), Cuisinart Chef's came up time and time again. I googled for the best price and found it at Amazon - actually an amazing price that no one else came close to for a 17 pc set. I have used the cookware a few times and already am very pleased. Although they seem to heat up slowly, they cook beautifully and clean up easily. I was a bit concerned that the instructions recommend that you do not use anything abrasive to scrub the cookware (like brillo etc) but I didn't need to worry - cleaning with a sponge has worked very well, and on occasion I also use some Cameo cleanser for water spots - cleans up like new. I expect this to be the last set of cookware I will ever need to buy.

5Wonderful!!
By Kendra M. Tessman
I am an avid home chef & treasure high-quality cookware. These are great! They are thinner (but harder) than many brands, which I truly love. Lower heat settings can be used for comparable results in other cookware, which saves energy, money, & severity of burns if the user is accident prone. Some things to know:1. These pans are designed to be hung on a rack. Hanging does save your cookware from a lot of those small injuries caused to them by stacking.2. The Quantanium non-stick finish is like Teflon on steroids! I use about 1/4 the oil/butter I normally used in the older versions of Teflon. As mentioned above, a lower heat setting is also necessary. These are very easy to clean (except the stainless steel "buttons" where the handles are attached - everything sticks well there).3. Although they say "Metal Utensil Safe", DON'T! Save the metal utensils for your cast iron & stoneware.4. Non-stick cooking spray tends to eat finish on pans. Preserve them by washing well with soap & water as soon as they are cool. TIP: NEVER, EVER put a sizzling hot pan in water or dump cool water into it! This causes warping that basically ruins the pan. Move the pan to an unused burner & let it cool naturally before washing.5. With the small steamer insert, never fill the pan over one inch above the bottom of the insert. With the stockpot insert, 2 inches. This can be pushed to nearly 3, but the mess from overfilling is big.6. Enjoy & care for these pans! You won't ever have to buy replacements for them as long as you don't abuse them.

5An Excellent Purchase!!! I love them!!!
By Stef330
I purchased this 14pc set of cuisinart pots and pans, after many comparisons and shopping around. I was initially more interested in purchasing Circulon Elite, but I wasn't too happy with the sizes offered in the set. Anyway, I am extremely happy that I purchased this set instead and here's why...The price is great! This is a high quality product! There are 14pc included and they are all in useable sizes, the only additional thing you many need is a 12"skillet, but I have been fine without one so far. The 4 quart saute pan is wonderful!!! And I absolutely love the steamer basket, that was a huge selling point for me because I steam veggies everyday! I am very impressed with everything about these pots and pans! The non-stick finish has been very durable so far, and extremely easy to clean. They cook evenly with no hot spots, etc. One important thing to note that makes this set different than most other hard anodized cookware, is that these are made with an aluminum core. So they have a hard anodized exterior and a non-stick interior, but the aluminum core makes them quite a bit lighter in weight to most other products. I consider this to be a positive thing, I don't need to break my wrist washing a pan. But if you use your pans as weapons, consider something else. =) The exterior finish is awesome, its a smooth hard anodized finish and very easy to maintain. Another review complained about the exterior, that "it looked cheap and no matter how she cleaned them they looked bad"... well, she's crazy!!! These look awesome!!! The clear lids are very helpful, although they do tend to get hot so using a rag when lifting is advisable. But handles on the pans seem to stay cool, no problem.Anyway, if you are considering this cookware and are comparing it to more expensive brands, then save your money! You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

5Woot
By Lac
I got these on sale last week from Amazon at [...]. Totally worth it. They are nice and heavy, heat evenly and the non-stick is amazing. You can put them in the dishwasher but it makes the outside of the pan turn a chalky dappled grey color. You really should hand wash them unless you don't give a crap how the outside looks. The metal and glass lids can get hot while cooking but that's why they make over mitts but the great thing is, since these pans do not have the rubber coated saftey handles you can transfer from stove top to oven for a broil without having to worry about ruining your handles [like the old Revere Ware].Update: 2009 and the pans have not yet fallen apart. The larger cookpot is showing some wear on the nonstick finish after heavy use. I also admit to using metal utensils on the product. The lids are in great shape and have not cracked or chiped and all the metal handles are still bright and shiny and not loose depite me washing them in the dishwasher.
