I purchased this for myself to replace the Leatherman PST2 that my wife commandeered for her purse. I'm a rather picky person when it comes to my tools and I honestly feel the Wave is perfection in every conceivable way when it comes to multi-tools. I find it so vastly superior to the PST2 that I'm tempted to purchase one for my wife.It's as if they addressed every complaint received from the PST and other Leatherman multi-tools and improved the strong points along the way.I use this at work quite often, as do others who know I have it on my belt. It's robust and appears precision made, using space in the most effective of ways. Due to this, it's a bit on the heavy side and rides better in a belt sheath than a pocket.I've had my Wave for about a year now and have used it to do everything from adjusting a carburetor to repairing a buddy's glasses (yes, it even includes a tool with tiny flat and phillip heads for eye glasses). Heaven forbid, if I ever were to lose the Wave I have now, I would replace it with another without hesitation or research of other units; it's that good.Granted, it's not inexpensive, but it's no $9.99 generic multi-tool made in China, either. Depending on your shopping prowess, you'll have to dish out 70 to 90 clams to own one. However, considering the quality, American manufacture and substantial engineering using high-grade materials, consider it an investment. It's entirely possible you'll find yourself still using it 20 years from now.As far as I'm concerned, the Wave is the multi-tool perfected.

I requested this for Christmas last year and have been using it ever since. Honestly, I thought the price was a little high, but all the reviews were just wonderful and I wanted to spoil myself with an excellent quality multi-tool. When I received it, I was very pleased at how hefty and solid the tool was. The knife was wickedly sharp and the entire tool is of very good quality steel and top notch construction.The different fold out tools were a little stiff at first, but quickly loosened up without ever becoming too loose. The knife blade is exceptionally sharp and maintains the edge very well. The various tools are excellent quality and very functional. I've used the saw to take down branches, the screwdriver (flat & Philips bits) are used all the time, the bottle opener & can opener are both good.Bottom line: This is a sturdy knife that keeps me from running around looking for another tool for those little odd jobs. It's also my constant companion for camping or anything outdoors.PS - some people don't care for the leather sheath, but I've found it to be excellent. It's a bit heavy on your belt, but you'll appreciate having the multi-tool on hand.

I bought this Leatherman Wave as a replacement for one my wife boughfor my birthday 4 years ago,i do saltwater fishing and i broke a Blade trying to get a hook out,it is a very versatile Utility Blade ,the best i have had in a long time,as a full time electrician i use almost every one of its tools,the pliers,cutters and the small screwdriver,even the can opener.If you buy this blade you will have a multy tool for years to come.
