Searched local for the OEM fuel pump. List was near $450. Found OEM discount parts online for $315. Bought on Amazon for $285. Received it quickly. Not a fun job to install but saved at least $500 doing it myself!

When the fuel pump on my Expedition went out I discovered my dealer charges about $800 to replace it ( including the tow to the dealership). Since I could do the job myself, I decided that I wasn't going to pay $500 just for the part. Finding many horror stories about aftermarket parts that didn't fit or were short-lived, I decided to stick with a genuine Motorcraft exact replecement. Though there are discount deals available ($350 - $420), I was surprised to find Amazon had the exact part for only $290.The pump assembly arrived in 3 days, was exactly the same as the original 10 year old unit, went in the tank in 30 minutes, and worked perfectly from the start. It's working well after 60 days, and I expect another 10 years out of it. Amazon's exact fit matching system gave me the confidence to order the part without hesitation. Though Amazon was the last place I expected to find the fuel pump, it will be the first place I look for auto parts from now onward. Thanks for a great shopping / delivery experience!

I've never thought of buying auto parts from Amazon before. I was surprised when my husband decided to try it. It was the correct part and it all worked out!! We saved $ on the part and on tax.
