The kit replaces your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. I installed this kit in under an hour, another half hour "testing." Instructions were great and I gained 2mpg city and 3 highway on a 1998 Z71 5700 vortec with 90,000 miles. Throttle response is great and much improved over a standard KN filter.

I put this kit on my 2000 denali, and the difference was night and day. Its definitly worth the $$, not just for the power, or the sound, but also for the extra fuel econemy it added, I got ant extra 2 mpg*city*

It wasn't too hard to install and gave me much better throttle response. I'd definitely suggest this intake to other Suburban owners!
