Usually I prefer Crosman over Daisy in terms of semiauto pellet handgun,but the 008 won me over the Crosman 1008 or the Walther CPs and way better than Gamo. First I like the appearance (different,) then the weight and feel (like real firearm,) then the power (about 430 fps for pellet and 480 for bbs,) and the way the CO2 is loaded is great (put it in and snap the locking lever.) There are other added things, such as the magnetic 8 shot clip that easily get pulled into position when loading. Best of all, it's accuracy is better than other semiautos I owned (many.)The things that can be better are better safety switch (mine was very stiff,) adjustable sight would be nice (though mine was accurate out of the package,) and it only comes with 2 clips and I can't find more anywhere, including the daisy website (FYI Daisy requires a written notarized avidavit to verify your ID to purchase from their website.)See all my reviews for other airguns.mgso

Wow so much fun I love mine. The 8 rd rotary clips are well made and function very efficiently, easy to load with ammo and easy to load into the pistol. It handles comfortably. With pellets, accuracy is terrific and with BBs it has exceptional power and is still sufficient however, I recommend using this gun for pellets. Flatheads are fun! It requires decent grip strength to load the Co2 cartridge but it's secure pop-in styling for the cartridge is a protection mechanism against any potential mishap in loading a fresh cartridge. In otherwords, if you blow the cartridge by a failed squeeze you don't have a wild discharging cartridge-missile, only a stinky burst of cold air. The clips aren't cheap, unfortunately but on the bright side they're well made for all .177 BB/pellet ammo and I would recommend getting extra clips. Overall this is a unique, powerful, comfortable, accurate, quality Co2 pistol and I recommend it to anyone.

This product, which was received in much less time than I've ever gotten anything, is an excellent, well-made product. It is easy to load, easy to shoot, accurate, and powerful. The only drawback I could see is that the front sight blends too well into some targets, making it sometimes a bit difficult to see. After all, I'm 72 years old and my eyes aren't quite so sharp as they used to be. I got around that by putting masking take along the sides of the blade, and masking off the rest of the gun to prevent overspray. Then I used a flourescent red model paint and sprayed just the ramp on the front sight. Now it shows up easily.
