I can hardly see these in twilight. Even in full dark they're still very hard to pick up.These aren't my first set of tritiums on a rifle. I should be able to pick them up very quickly even without "night" eyes. They should be as bright as an Aimpoint. They should be as bright as the Trijicons on my G17. Unfortunately, it's just not happening with this set.I suspect these are very old, like maybe 10+ years since the advertisement states the life of the tritium is 12 years. Looks like I'll have to contact Amazon to complain.

Rear sight, I have no qualms with. The front sight however is another story. Overall pleased with it's construction, it is as to be expected from Trijicon. The sights install with relative ease.Since the front sight post is rectangular and not square there are two heads, one swivels on the other to allow the detent to lock the sight in place at 1/4 turn increments(elevation adjustment) while the top portion can spin freely. I would have hoped that the top did not spin with such ease. Overall, like I said, I am pleased.

I bought these along with the Dueck Defense Front & Rear Rapid Transition AR-15 Sight for my Hog hunting AR-10.What a great combination. I use the scope for longer daylight shots and the iron sights for close up (fast) shots or dead of night shots. The sights are the same with the addition of the tritium inserts in the front and rear sights. It allows for very fast sight aqusition.The sights light up very well and installation was very straight forward. I really have no negative comments.The year of manufacture is denoted by the last 2 digits on the numbers printed on the side. Mine read 12, so they were manufactured in 2012. If by chance I got an old stock item, I have no doubt that Amazon would make it right with minimal hassles so buy with confidence!I bought the knock off Dueck Defense Front & Rear Rapid Transition AR-15 Sight [GDT AR15 AR 15 Front and Rear 45 Degree Rapid Transition BUIS Backup Iron Sight] here on amazon for my M&P15-22 practice gun. I'll be installing a set of these tritium sights as well. That should tell you that I am happy enough with them to buy a second set...
