5Awesome
By Erik
Bought this last month and have since put a couple thousand miles on it driving across US south. It takes a while to "break in" in my opinion. But it boosted my MPGs and is a bit quicker and definitely louder, it turns heads. Great investment.

5Great sound, easy install, quality parts, but no real horsepower gain.
By Brendan Ryan
I bought this because the OEM intake on my 2002 Honda Civic was damaged by a shop that was supposed to be changing the air filter. Rather than pay $200+ for a replacement OEM part from the dealer, I thought, "Hey, why not try something aftermarket? How hard can it be?".INSTALL:As it turns out, it was dead easy. I have very limited experience working on cars. I change my own oil and brake pads, that's it. K&N's instructions were all I needed to remove my OEM intake, and install this new one. The pictures are low-resolution and in black and white, so I used the PDF version available on K&N's website, which is much better quality than the printed one included.SOUND:For the most part, the engine sounds as it did before. However, there is a noticeably deeper "snarl" that the engine gets when full throttle is applied. With all stock parts (with the exception of the intake), it doesn't sound bad at all. The closest thing I can compare it to would be the 2010 Accord EX-L's sound. Keep in mind that your results will vary depending on your engine and other mods.POWER GAINS:Power gains were not very noticeable. However to be fair, a 2002 Civic doesn't have much power to begin with. Like I said before, your results will vary depending on your engine.QUALITY OF COMPONENTS:Could not be more satisfied. I have always respected K&N for their quality in air intake systems, and this only renews my trust in their products. Everything is lightweight, strong, and sturdy.

4Sound great
By megamind
Easy to instal and a lot easier to clean/replace the filter then the stock. Has a great sound, you can hear the air going in... The only issue I have with it is the first bend from the intake rubs on the hood. Also with the filter at the top of the engine compartment it does not get as much cool air as would like but then this is a short ram intake not a CAI. as far as performance it is not significant by itself.
