The filter was was very easy to install, with very detailed, step-by-step directions. I drive a stock Corolla, so I don't expect any crazy horsepower gains. I do, however, notice that it does seem to have a little more power on take-off, the engine idles much more smoothly, and my idle rate dropped from about 1,100RPM to 600RPM.Pros:slight increase in responsiveness,very easy to install,looks goodCons:when the engine is cold, at idle, you will hear a loud "sucking" sound. I was not aware, but apparently this is normal for this type of intake and vehicle.

This was installed on a 2008 Pontiac Vibe. Everything fits except that on this year the engine uses a port on the intake hose for a PCV hose. I had to fabricate a hose fitting and attach to Typhoon intake. K&N does not list this intake for this year vehicle, but the right person can make the extra part. Otherwise the intake fits perfectly and the engine seems to have a little more power. Engine feels a little smoother down the interstate and I think mileage might be up. The intake is loud once you press the accelerator all the way down, but if you want performance that is usually what comes from upgrades. K&N has many pictures included with instructions for install. Overall happy with install and purchase

I bought this for my commuter car. Install was easy but the pictures don't help very much! Had to work out where to put a couple hoses on my own. I guess that's what I get for putting an American product on a Japanning car.
