If you feel your caprice or your ss hesitating at a stop light , engine acting like is running out of gas , first do your home work . First check your spark plugs and cables , could be a plug a spark plug miss firing , to make sure of that , wait until gets dark when no light near your engine or a dark place , put all your attention where the spark plugs are located , get someone to hit the gas a couple of times , and if you see sparks coming from the dark ,then you have a miss fire.Second check your optispark , this part is known for its weakness , if you need to change it make sure you get oem part ACDelco 1104032 . Third check your mass air sensor , here you need to get your car to a shop and scan your pcm , that will tell if your MAF has some failure . For me that was the case, got it from amazon , got it in less than a week , is a 2 minutes instalation process , now my ss is running like new again .
