Product Description

See your fitness-and your bike handling skills-improve when you add CycleOps rollers to your training program. You'll increase your balance, control and ability to ride a straight line, all of which translate to more efficiency, power and technique on the road. And because you have to pedal 100% of the time to balance your bike, you get an amazing workout. After a winter on rollers you'll be poised to lead the pack in the spring. Not only do rollers provide the most awesome stationary workout with incredible real-world ride feel, but they're also simple to set-up, store and transport. For warming up before a race or watching the time fly by during an indoor ride, rollers offer the ultimate in versatility and simplicity. CycleOps Aluminum rollers are a great starter set for indoor and outdoor use because they won't distort in heat or sunlight. This magnetic bar that works within the magnetic field of the rolling aluminum rear drum, allows you to increase the difficulty of your workout without any extra noise. CycleOps rollers can be conveniently folded for grab-and-go transport and out of the way storage, so training areas stay clutter-free. CycleOps Aluminum rollers are built to last and carry a lifetime warranty. Constructed from bi-fold tubular steel they can stand up to all sorts of abuse-like being tossed into the car, set up in parking lots at races, getting stepped on and the general rigors of daily use. We also guarantee that if anything ever breaks on it, we'll fix it or replace it. The 3.25-3.5" precision lathed drum diameters offer an optimal range of resistance with a super smooth ride and the adjustable wheel base fits just about any size bike. Rubber foot pads ensure that the only thing moving on the rollers are the drums so you get a secure, sturdy ride. Because mastering the rollers can take a few tries, the 16" wide base gives you room to move around until you're holding a straight line like never before.

5Outstanding trainer
By G. Ozzimo
Tried the rear wheel trainer one year, then the Lemond stationary bike and did not enjoy either one. The Cycle-Ops trainer is great! It emulates real world biking better than my first two choices. As advised, it takes some practice to master the rollers, but has done a great job forcing ecomony of movement and smooth steady pedal strokes. I look forward to riding now when I can't get out on the road...

5CycleOps Aluminum Roller Indoor Trainer with Resistance
By A. Kozmel
These rollers are great. One of the chief complaints I have of the regular trainers (as with stationary bikes), is that they tend to get boring after riding for a short while. Since this unit requires more concentration to maintain your balance (which takes a bit of practice and maybe a few sessions), it makes the workout a lot more fun and engaging. Plus, I really like the idea of being able to put my bike to good use during the winter months. This unit also takes up very little space, and doesn't require any alterations to the bike (I've even managed to keep my seat at the same height). At this point, I haven't had a chance to use the resistance feature, as the gears on my bike are providing enough of a workout for me. I'd suggest trying out the version without the resistance add-on first, then order the resistance unit separately if you feel you need it (price-wise, it seems they charge nearly the exact same amount for the resistance unit whether you buy it separately, or with the trainer). The only real drawback thus far is that the trainer is a bit pricey. However, it seems extremely well-built, and durable. Oh, another plus is that it's made in the USA!

4Great for working out indoors! Well made.
By Rick Scott
I've had my unit for just over a week and have clocked 60 miles, many more that I would be able to do out on the street. This unit is great for people who live in cities where it's difficult to get up speed and maintain it. Excellent for perfecting your form and energy distribution. I watched Cycle Ops training video, but found it was much easier to just ride. The technique they suggest is to start with your hand on a wall, this tends to work against your by making it more difficult to balance, at least for me. I set my unit up as close as possible to a wall where I could lean into the wall with my shoulder if necessary. Even without the resistance unit, this thing produces a great workout. I was able to achieve and maintain 40 miles per hour - not something you can do in a city with stop light, cars etc... I've give the product 4 stars, I think the price is little high and there are a couple of parts (end caps) although not critical to operation seem cheap compared to the rest of the unit. Would definitely recommend for any serious rider who wants to train indoors and achieve speed, balance and agility.Have fun!
