5Brilliant for Road Bike use too !
By roy watching
I initially used hybrid platform/SPD pedals on my new Bianchi. But it occurred to me that I never used my road bike "casually" and that the SPD side of my pedals were not the easiest to clip into. So I ditched them for these beauties instead. First, they look great. I got mine in white and the finish of both the painted and metal parts is just aces. They have an incredibly small foot print.Using SPD pedals on a road bike is occasionally frowned upon. The reasons they'll give you are almost always half baked. SPD pedals work great on road bikes, the added efficiency that SPD-SL pedals offer is really offset by the convenience SPD cleats offer when you need to get off your bike and walk about. These pedals are easy to clip into and more importantly easy to clip out of. Decidedly more easy than their SPD-SL counterparts in my opinion. You can tune the pedals to be more easy or more difficult to clip in or out of. I used them with the settings they came with and I've had no problems yet.

5Only clipless pedals I use.... cause I wont pay more
By Cyclekrazy
the last five bokes I've owned and the current three I still have, after trying several brand & styles, shimano pedals have become my brand of choice for this style of clipless. and since then the SP M520's have become the type of choice.1. proper weight & strength to handle great torque2. great bearings on the spendle so they end up in a proper potion for clipping in3. great range of degree of float for different uses daily traffic commuting to roace race tight to supper tight for trail & mountain riding so you don accidentally unclip on all those bumps & jumps.4. easy maintenace & cleaning5. offered in all black, black & white & black & silver6. allow for a wide range of shoes for spd cleats

4Affordable pedals for weekend riders
By R. Douglas
I'm used to running all top of the line Shimano components (XTR) as I used to race. Several years later, I'm only riding a few weekends a month I didn't need the latest and greatest. These pedals were easy to adjust and I had no trouble breaking them in on my first ride.
