I purchased this compass after using compasses for years in the military and for civilian work surveys and personal hiking. This compass is super easy to use and very accurate to 1 degree''. It reads both current direction and back azimuth while sighting through compass. Sighting over compass allows for easy and accurate views to distant waypoints such as key terrain, trees, telephone poles, etc. I always know exactly where I am going. My old mirror compass only gave me a general area and was more difficult to use. This KB-20 does not have a bezel ring but I can function just fine without one. I gave this four stars only because this is plastic, but very durable and lightweight, and Suunto makes a metal version--more durable, but more expensive. I would give that the full five stars. GREAT BUY AND WORTH EVERY PENNY.

The floating marker is not balanced, so if you put the compass in horizontal position, the moving part of the compass is touching the glass. In flight, I need to change the angle of the compass all the time in order to read it, but for each direction, I need to have a different angle, so it is almost impossible to read. I had lot of compasses before, and I decided to buy a "good" one because I need more precision, but I comitted a big mistake choosing this one.
