This kit is a joy, as is the 'Road King' (same scale) version by the same company. But the instructions are poor. I suggest that you review every step in the manual and make notes as to the true path regarding construction of the model. Sometimes things are meant to be 'symmetrical' in their construction (both sides), but are not mentioned. Keep this in mind. This is (and the 'Road King' version) an amazing model, and will be a jewel in your collection. Go for it!

what an awesome model... bought for my bro-in-law for xmas as he has this bike....we were very impressed with the quality! sits on his mantel and looks great! took about 2 full days to put together, but well worth it!

Built the kit right out of the box, opted to not paint anything, but it really doesn't need it anyway. I did use a little flat black and silver for some detail painting but that was it. Kit was exceptionally well packaged and all parts were bagged. Lots of tiny metric screws so have a small phillips screwdriver at the ready, and do yourself a huge favor by getting a 2.3 x 0.4 metric tap to tap the holes in the metal parts. Assembly was a breeze but be sure to familiarize yourself with each step. I ended up using orange reflective tape to make reflectors for the front fender, as the kit reflectors are installed on the frame, and there was no mention of installing the left side cover. (you'll figure it out, lol) I thought the cable routing instructions were poor, but as a bike mechanic I know where they're supposed to go. A few hours later, and I have an excellent replica of my full size Ultra Classic. The model is heavy and very well detailed. I really enjoyed the build and the great price from Amazon was about half the cost compared to my local hobby shop. Not for beginners, but a lot of fun to build and display! I just might add the Road King next!
