Product Description
The kit replaces your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intake systems are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. All products say they are easy to install, but it was true with the K&N fuel injection performance kit. I did assemble all of the pieces together that I could before starting the install. Getting out the part of the old intake that goes down by the radiator and engine block was the hardest part of the install.I find with the Flowmaster muffler, Performance module for the computer, and the K&N performance kit that my gas mileage is better and my S10 does have better performance. I also like the sound the engine makes now. It is not loud when cruising, it just has a nice sound when accelerating.

Got this for my 2003 Chevrolet S10 2.2L 4X2.I was looking for better gas milage and horsepower, living 2,000 ft. above the valley floor it didn't like 3rd gear climbing the hill. Now that i've got this in combination with a Magnaflow muffler, I can cruise up the hill in 3rd gear much easier. Not to mention the truck sounds great in the higher RPM range. Like I said, always happy with K&N products.

I HAVE A 4 CYLINDER, 5 SPEED CHEVY S10. HOPING TO INCREASE POWER , I BOUGHT THIS K&N COLD AIR INTAKE. FOR SOMEONE WITH MODERATE ABILITY, INSTALLATION WAS O.K. THERE WAS MORE INVOLVED IN REMOVING THE FACTORY INTAKE EQUIPMENT THAN INSTALLING THE NEW INTAKE. WHEN YOU REMOVE THE OLD STUFF WITH ALL OF THE CHAMBERS AND BOXES THE AIR HAS TO PASS THROUGH IT IS EASY TO SEE WHY THE K&N WITH ITS VERY DIRECT INTAKE APPARATUS WOULD PROVIDE BETTER PERFORMANCE AND ECONOMY. I AM GETTING A MILE TO 2 MILES PER GALLON BETTER ECONOMY AND THE INCREASE IN PERFORMANCE IS NOTICEABLE ESPECIALLY AT THE TOP END OF EACH SHIFT. THE PLEASANT "GROWL" DURING EACH SHIFT IS ALSO COOL. ALSO, YOU ARE ADVISED TO LISTEN FOR HISSES OR BUZZES COMING FROM THE INTAKE BUT I HAD NO ISSUES WITH THIS. I FIND THIS INTAKE TO BE AN INEXPENSIVE, EASY WAY TO INCREASE PERFORMANCE AND ECONOMY.
