If you were wandering in a museum and happened to walk by a woman dressed in the most elegant of attire gazing at a painting lost in thought, you'd imagine she would be wearing La Perla.She could just as easily be home curled up in bed in silk pajamas reading a novel by the light of a fire or enjoying a picnic beneath cedar trees. You can imagine a woman wearing this to a concert or while dining in a fine restaurant overlooking snow-covered mountains.This fragrance is romantic and sophisticated and is not overwhelming and lends itself well to late afternoon wanderings and evening mystery. The vetiver and black currant fragrance notes create a sense of sensual sophistication while the orange blossom and vanilla leave you a little heady.I will only admit this once, but the other day I poured half a sample bottle right into the tub. The hot water swirled with the fragrance and with the addition of Sensuality Black Currant Vanilla Foam Bath from Bath & Body Works, this makes quite the lovely bath.La Perla: Noir by Danilo Venturi is of course, optional but sets a sexy romantic mood. First purchased La Perla on a cruise ship over 10 years ago. Whenever I wear it, the conversation stops when either a woman or a man asks what perfume I am wearing. La Perla is subtle, never overpowering, yet enticing. I don't feel dressed without it.

Have loved this fragrance for years! Heard it had been reformulated.... God forbid!!!!......So went on the search for the "old" stuff. Thank Goodness I found it on Amazon. And Thank you to the seller! It was shipped quickly and wrapped really well.The old La Perla is rich, deep and strong. It dries down to a lovely incensy fragrance.
