I installed this pump on a 1999 chevy s10 pickup, the only issues I had was getting the pump to seat in the tank because the O ring is so snug because it needs to have a tight seal. This isn't an issue but more of a challenge you will encounter. You need a second person to snap the retaining ring in place while the other holds the pump down. The second is the replacement plug, you have to swap the connector with the one provided, and this is true of almost all the other brands out there as well. My problem was that the wire colors were not the same on two of the four wires, but that may not be the case on your installation.Carter is one of the brands that the better local parts houses stock and they have been around for a long time. This job takes a fair bit of time and you don't want to do it again 6 months from now because you used a cheap pump that died right away, more than likely while you are away from home. The price quoted on Amazon is 20% better than the lowest price I received locally, this allowed me to install a quality unit for the same price as the cheap ones on the market.
