Product Description
The kit replaces your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intake systems are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This is my second one of these Kits and, like the first one, this product didn't disappoint. I put this on my '95 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 and was amazed that it would have the effect it did. It eliminated almost all of the lag between the time you hit the gas and the engine responds. It's no longer gasping for air. I do some pretty serious off-roading and this has helped a lot. It got pretty wet the first time out but had no obvious detrimental effect. I have since bought one of the Pre-Charger covers to keep it dry but for the average application this is probably unnecessary. As far as possible increase in gas mileage, I haven't noticed any either way, but I know when I put one similar to this on my SVT it gave between 1-2 MPG more. It's usually no problem to self-install, but some are easier than others. Get this product!

98 toyota 4 runner. i am a delivery driver, which means that i am always fighting gas prices and struggling to keep my car going. so when i saw that this will improve gas mileage i was sold. when i got it, sure the first week i was driving pretty aggressively hard starts to make it roar, it sounds awesome, but when it comes down to it i haven't heard that sound in a while. the sound it makes when you drive like a normal person isnt much different from stock which is fine with me. i like to surprise passengers, the expression on my co workers face when i floored it getting threw a yellow light, the kick back from the extra horse power and the ROOOAR made him get one as well. better gas mileage when driven correctly. the only side affect...which is a series one. the cone filter has a tendency to fall off. this can be fixed with, a crew threw the rubber parts. it had fallen off and was driving with it off for about 2 days. till i noticed the sound was off. but quick easy fix

The directions were a little vague but anyone that's handy can get it done in an hour. All the parts needed were included unlike some other person indicated. I didn't care for that tube portion with the K&N stamp on it of the filter was plastic. I don't know about the fuel saving and horse power stuff. What you do notice is going uphill you won't need to gear down as fast as you use to.
