This fountain is exactly what I was looking for to put in our sun room. It is the perfect height and size, and the slate finish is beautiful. The best thing about this fountain is the sound..it truly sounds like a flowing river. You can actually hear the water flowing- which is the whole point for a fountain!! I researched SO many other fountains out there- and this one seemed to be the best quality for appearance and sound. NO one has it cheaper than Amazon! Pros- easy to put together, river like sound, elegant/simple look, sturdy, no pieces that can break or fall off easily and the light has its own on and off switch. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this fountain for any room in your office or home.

Bought this for a bedroom. Very peaceful. Pump works well, splashes are next to never, solid,ad amazingly it goes well with aqua colored walls. Didn't think it would do to the stone, SLIGHTLY bronze color of it.I've had a few fountains and this gives the trickling water sound the best. Plus you can control the speed of the trickle! Oh! I'm not sure about tabletop. It stands as tall as mid thigh (mine is on th floor).

After graduating from college in December, I started working for my father's dermatology practice. His office is very nice, beautiful artwork etc, but after doing some research into improving the waiting room area, I decided that we could really use a desktop fountain. I researched hundreds of fountains and decided on this one, as it was attractive, reviewers said it produced nice sound, and did not leak. I'm pleased to say that this fountain exceeded my expectations and looks just fabulous. Patients love it and the sound it produces (a babbling brook type of noise). Easy to maintain, we use distilled water, Fountec Algaecide / Clarifier, and Protec 8oz to keep it looking new and clear. Don't hesitate!
