I've had these nerf bars on my 2000 GMC Sierra extended cab for about a year. Installing them was a bit tricky on this model of truck, because the bolt holes must be drilled out by hand in the exact location of the mounting hardware. The best way to accomplish this is to have a couple of jackstands for either end of the step as you position the brackets where they need to be drilled. I would recommend having two people to make the best working conditions. After these were installed, however they have worked great. My wife and mother are short people, and having these helping steps allows them easier access into my Z71 pick-up. My wife's only complaint is that the steps are a little on the narrow side. She would have preferred the long continous style. However, I like the style of these better. So make sure when you install these you get the driver and passenger steps situated to the proper comfort of the user before drilling the holes... ;-)They do look great in my opinion. Kinda low profile and rugged--just the way I like them! Be advised, they ship heavy.
