Universal Rack

I have mixed emotions about this rack. It was for certain the most cost effective route for creating storage for my Rubicon however the product arrived and I noticed that it was slightly warped in shape. It took some muscle to work it into shape in order to attach the roll cage brackets in order to mount it. The holes didn't exactly match up at first. The product also doesn't seem to be as durable as I would like it so it will be used for light duty storage of my gear. (bags, cooler, etc). I purchased the mounting brackets for the rack as well from Bestop.Bestop 41437-01 HighRock 4X4 Black Lower Cargo Rack Bracket If you go this route and you have pads on your roll bars you will have to make some modification to the pads so that the clamps attaching the brackets will fit properly. Not too hard if you have some basic mechanical knowledge and are good at measuring. Getting the tray level was probably the most complicated of all the jobs. overall I am satisfied with the product but would like to see some modifications on future models.

Universal Rack

This is a good light weight tray, I am not fond of the system to install it with but it does work and I am changing my tray attachment system so it is easier to install. It does work as advertised and I like it. I might go for a little larger on next time but then you have to becareful not to overload your rack system.All in All good product well made, directions a little weak.

The connections all matched with all hoses and connections on vehicle.Good quality construction. Good material.Would have given five stars, packing was lacking in the area of lower radiator hose connection.It was bent.
