4Excellent price for OEM quality fuel pump assembly.
By SB from Carroll
Since I'm the 1st to review this fuel pump assembly I did quite a bit of leg work to make sure it was the correct one for my 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 4.0L engine. This included several phone calls to Bosch technical support. The 1st Bosch rep I spoke with said this #67646 Electric Fuel Pump Assembly is the correct one for my 96 Jeep but it doesn't come with the rubber tank seal and most don't. He said I'd have to buy the seal from the dealer which I did for $15. I'll be taking this seal back to the dealer since he was wrong and the rubber tank seal was included in the box with the pump.Once I received the fuel pump assembly it was really confusing since the photo on the box was not the same one as in the box. Plus the numbering was different. The unopened box has a label which says #67646, F00E19056, and pump assembly photo shows the fuel line coming out of the top of the pump at a 90 degree angle. But the pump in the box has the fuel line coming straight up out of the assembly where the quick disconnect fuel line coupling attaches. Also the number on the top of the pump, and bag it's in, is F00E190655. The last digit is 5 instead of 6 on the box.Called Bosch and the rep said it is typical for this number to be off by 1 digit and it's the correct one. He also said they get these assemblies directly from Chrysler/Jeep and repackage them. The line coming straight up is the correct one.Installed the new assembly and it was a perfect fit. Fuel pressure at the rail is 52 psi and spec is 49-51psi plus/minus 2psi. Electrical connector was correct w/good gauge protected wires while gas gauge and check valve also work perfect.I'd highly recommend this fuel pump assembly which is specific to 96 Jeep models. It also fits the 96 5.2L in addition to 4.0's. And you won't find a better price at $222. On ebay it's selling for $335 and even higher elsewhere. Bosch promotes this pump being able to operate even in high temps and I believe that. Only gave it 4 0ut of 5 stars because of the labeling/box confusion. Great deal and actually better than the OEM pump!

5fun for DIY install
By Al
I replaced this on a 93 Dakota. The instructions say to drop the tank. I watched some guys on YouTube remove the bed, this looks easier because you're not under the truck as much. There are only 8 bolts to remove, d/c the tail and license plate lights . Then get a couple of hard heads to help lift and slide the bed back about 18 inches and there it is. Make sure to align everything the same as the old pump. I had to remove some of the bushings and connections from the old pump and transfer over to the new to reconnect everything. Gasoline is not your friend, so be careful. D/c the electric, and take all precautions. It helps if you clean as much of the old dirt and grime from the area before you start. The pump woks great. The quality, Amazon price($145.56), precise ordering, and shipping time were unbeatable.

4Good price
By Jerry Wolf
I got the model # for this from an auto parts store that told me it came with the fuel filter/regulator that mounts on the top. I don't know if he was incorrect, or if the fact that it didn't was one of the reasons it was so much cheaper from this source. I had to order it separately and it was $50. The fuel input and other fittings and gaskets also weren't with it and I had to use the old ones off the old fuel pump. Other than that, it works fine and still ended up being $100 cheaper than the auto part store.

5Very Satisfied
By Mel
I had the dredded erratic fuel gauge problem 1997-2000 Corvettes have. Mine is a 1998. I purchased the driver side pump assembly and the passenger side jet pump. I would say just be careful when you install the float level because of the small opening in the tank. Since my installation, I've had no problems what-so-ever. Saved a ton on the price, you can't beat it.
