Great boot

I use my boots for work and they have been the best (medium price range) boot I've found. They do get a bit hot in summer and all steel toe's suck in the cold. But to meet my job requirements (ASTM rating and electrical hazard) they are the most comfortable I've found. Plenty of room in the toe area. I've tried a pair of WORX by red wing and the toe area was so small, I could literally wear out a sock after a couple of days. Not this boot. I get new boots every year, but this boot still has plenty of life in it.

SO PLEASED!

This is a great boot. I've always had jobs that require me to be on my feet all day. And my friend had recently given me a regular pair of Timberlands. Half-way through the day my feet were killing me. So, I bought these babies. What an excellent investment. They're light weight, have a steel toe, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, have an excellent foot bed!! I don't feel a thing on the ground when I walk in them. I wear them all day and my feet don't ache at all.Love 'em, love 'em, LOVE 'EM!!!!

Shoes are good

Not sure if theyre as comfy as other people found them. I havent fully broken them in yet. Im a big guy and they seem to keep untieing on me. As far as quality I'd say theyre made very well and i dont see tthem falling apart.

Safety shoes

Great shoes -extremely comfortable if you order the right size and width - I went for a half size smaller than normal and it worked perfectly.Shoes feel heavy initially and the sole makes you taller than normal - but a good , safe shoe, delivered on time to a new address. Great work Amazon / UPS !

Afghanistan

I purchased these boots for the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan. These boots are amazing for the price. Very comfortable. I did a 8 mile foot patrol the day after I received them and did not get a single blister. I did however, replace the insoles that are sold with them. The insoles that come with them are good, but feel "gel-like" and I needed something a lot stiffer for the extremely rocky terrain here. I purchased them about a month ago, and have put over 100 miles on them so far. They have held up very well with only one scratch (from constantine wire). Overall, wonderful boots, would definitely recommend to a friend, as well as, buy them again if I needed to.

Great Boots

I bought these boot on a recommendation from a coworker. We are both currently active component Army deployed to Afghanistan, and the treads on my last boots wore down rather quickly (6 months). I've had these for about a month now, and I believe they are the best pair of boots I've owned so far. I used to wear Asolos, and before that, Danners. The day I received thses in the mail, we were called out on a mission that took half the day and well into the night, I had already put these boots on to start breaking them in and had no time to change before the helicopter arrived at the HLZ. These boots felt comfortable right off the bat. They did need some breaking in, but I hardly noticed at all, the boots were just a bit stiff. The soles by Vibram are definitely a step up from the Asolos I was wearing previously. They grip the rock surface better, and are a bit wider for more surface area. From what I've been told they also last longer. The boots also provide sufficient ankle support without being uncomfortable. I have had a chance to test these out on various different terrain, and the only negative I've found so far is that they take in water as soon as it reaches the laces. I suppose that's my fault for not dousing them in waterproof spray as I have always done previously with my other boots. Also, one of the top hooks for the laces has separated from the shoe partially, but it is held on tight by a second rivet, which I suppose is why there are two rivets per lace hook.-----The Breakdown-----Positives:-Very durable-Incredibly comfortable-Short break in periodNegatives:-Water resistant only up to laces-rivet on one of the lace hooks came loose, but it's still held on tight by a second rivetHope this helps!

Very comfortable

These are -no question- the most comfortable boot I"ve ever tried. I've had Raichle, Salomon, Mephisto, Hi-Tec, Danner, Nike and a few others. Recently I've been using a low-cut Salomon but found I need more ankle support. These are a good blend of lightweight and support. I did swap out the insole for a Superfeet insole; that helps make a difference too.
