EXCELLENT SHOE!!

Have only had these boots for about a week but have been wearing them everyday. I do about 4 or 5 miles per day walking in the woods and know I should wear hiking boots, but I decided to wear these for 1 day to break them in and then go back to my sneakers or hiking shoes. I was willing to suffer 1 day to break these in. That was last week and I've been wearing them everyday since then. No break-in period for me..they've been very comfortable. I did put thin foot insoles in but I do that with all of my footwear before I put them on...so I'm not sure how they would be without them. I'm guessing they would be OK. It has rained a few days here and so far they are definitely waterproof. These boots also look good for riding my motorcycle. I got the charcoal color and they are sharp looking. I'm going to buy another pair over the Winter in another color since I'm so happy with these. I highly recommend these boots.

Great boot at low cost

This is my second pair I have purchased of this type and model. Boot wears out slowly - especially on the top and front where wear typically shows first. Sole eventually wears out, but wearing daily can last 2 years or longer. Very comfortable and flexes nicely, while standing up to abbasions well. I would recommend some type of conditioner if the boots will be exposed to water or liquids on a regular basis.Personaly, I prefer saddlesoap.

A Pleasant Surprise from Sketchers

When I think Sketchers, I think of silly commercials from the '90s, not heavy duty, workman's boots; yet that's exactly what I got. I needed boots for a job I took doing heavy work outdoors and in a shop. I needed a GOOD boot, as I have troublesome feet, and I would be on them at least ten hours a day. Just to be safe I paired them with Airplus Ultra Work Insoles. Together, they were a match made in heaven and my feet were able to make it through 10 hour work days with no issue.The boots are so comfortable that I wear them outside of work. Places like shopping malls, or even to day long outings such as amusement or theme parks, because I know they will be the most comfortable.Not only are they comfortable, but they are durable. They held up at work, and are in fact waterproof. I had some terrible weather and would wear them for hours in the rain, stomping through puddles deep enough to maintain wildlife. Besides some close calls with sharp edges, the boots never wore, cracked, or tore from heavy use.I have never maintained them, cleaned them, or oiled the leather like a good owner would, and they have held up well.I imagine getting at least several more years out of them, but to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if they lasted me another decade or longer, so long as the sole doesn't wear out.
