Good blower - Easy install

I bought this for a dead Fasco 7021-10299. This was the equivalent model (A170). IT came with a bag of mostly unecessary items if this is a replacement such as wires, rubber sleeve, etc. The instructions were easy to follow. The blower was easy to put in. The unit runs a lot more quiet than my last one (when my last unit was operating normally, that is). Also, Amazon had a better price by at least $15 or so from a few other places I checked out.

Bearing Failure after 2 months?

The is the second replacememnt exhaust gas blower for my 15+ year old high effecient forced air furnace. The original lasted 10 years before bearing failure on the blower. The OEM replacememnt from a local furnace repair shop was getting noisey after 5 years so I purchased the Fasco A170 from Amazon. The new one was nearly an exact replacement for the OEM unit (no longer manufactured). It installed perfectly and was quieter running than the 5 year old unit.This lasted one (1) month. After the second month of operation, the unit started to sound rough when starting up and shutting down. It is now two (2) months since instalation and you can hear the motor vibrate though the entire house and outside by the furnace exhaust when shutting down. My guess is it will lock up totally due to defective motor bearings within the next week.Good News (I Hope)... I called Amazon and they are shipping me a replacement within the next 2 days! Thank You Amazon.I hope the next one will provide 5-10 years of operation like the OEM unit did.

Fasco Draft Inducer

The Fasco A170 is packaged with everything you need to replace this yourself, it comes with wiring harness to adapt to the old harness. It comes with new hose clamps and adapter for the PVC pipe. It takes some wiring knowledge, but most people can do it. It comes with the complete instructions on how to replace the blower. I was VERY pleased with Fasco. If you go to the Fasco website (www.fasco.com), you can find a cross reference database if you are unable to find a direct replacement to your blower.

Furnace blower

The furnace blower I ordered was great except for one big thing. The female plug on the blower that connects to the furnace was backwards. It was very frustrating and upsetting. Our old blower went out in a very cold spell here in Iowa, with tempuratures dipping well below freezing. We were so happy to get the blower and then to find the plug ends switched was heart wrenching. However, our very handy handyman, a.k.a. dad, had to fiddle and widdle a few things, and we were able to get it working without shipping it back. However, we did so at risk of voiding any warranty, but our more neccesary need of keeping our children warm prevailed. If one who did not have any electrical knowledge, like me, then the blower would have had to been shipped back to be replaced. This is the first problem that I have ever had ordering anything with amazon. Thankfully, we were able to get heat, and the part is working great!!! Also, we did receive the blower in a very timely manner!

Working perfectly

Ordered from the Electric Motor Warehouse (via Amazon), and got in less that a week, for $179 including shipping (to Canada), and was shipped via Purolator courier! Note that the default blower choice isn't the cheapest option for Canada (including shipping).Worked perfectly in my Lennox 90UGFA2. Comes with a new foam rubber blower to furnace gasket.4 screws, a gear clamp, and 2 electrical connectors (one click to fit, and one a screw lug). You need to pop the air restrictor off of the middle of the air intake of the original blower (if you don't, too much air for combustion, and condensate drain starts making gurgling noise.Won't miss the constant whine of the original (dying) blower.

After solving a few issues this lighter works great

I've purchased countless lighters over the years. I hate when the lighter ignition system stops working and there is no way to replace the battery. I searched and found this item and thought someone heard my prayers. I did initially have a few issues and contacted the company about them. For some reason that is unexplained in the instructions, the igniter keeps clicking while the lever is pressed. Pressing in the lever is the only way to keep the flame burning. I discovered that this is how the lighter keeps lit even in windy conditions. The instruction page does not explain anything at all about how the battery is replaced or what battery to use. I was given the wrong information about the battery in the answer to my inquiry. I luckily had a jewelers screwdriver and was able to open the compartment and was able to see the battery number. The instructions state very clearly that you should only use their butane. Every decent lighter I ever purchased said the same thing - only use their butane because it is the best. I Filled the lighter with Zippo 'Premium' butane and the lighter coughs and sputters so I ordered Colibri butane in the hope that it will burn better and smother. After making some adjustments to the flame height, I found the perfect setting and the lighter works great - even as a pipe lighter. My conclusion is that this lighter does, in fact, meet all of my criteria for a great lighter. You don't need their butane, but do have to work with the flame height adjustment a little. It works well in a breeze and best of all, you can easily replace the battery. I don't expect to ever replace this lighter. Unfortunately, the person that responded to my inquiry told me that this particular lighter has been discontinued. I do not know if the company makes any others that have a replaceable battery - they should since they are the only company that I could find that makes one.

The Fasco blower met all expectations. I was most pleased that the instalation was very simple. The whole process took about 45 minutes. I have been running the blower for about three weeks. The unit is quiet and has not had any problems.
